Great House, location and owner. Couldn't have been any better. It made our weekend at the boat races even better. Good Cold Air and lots of hot water for my family.

My two adult daughters and I had a wonderful weekend, celebrating our summer birthdays, in this lovely storybook home. We enjoyed the house so much that we were hesitant to venture out and leave our beautiful surroundings. When we did decide to get out we were just a few blocks from downtown, with fun shops and great restaurants. The linens and bath towels were all so soft and comfy . I had difficulty leaving my comfortable cocoon each morning, which is not normal for me. There was a good supply of bubble bath, candles, soaps , etc. available to make the bathing experience spa like. The kitchen was well stocked with all you would need to whip up a gourmet meal, if so inclined. The stress melted away the moment we walked into this story book home. We felt totally at home in this updated, yet 100 + year old, Victorian dwelling. Leslie was an incredible hostess who was only a text , or phone call away. The only downside to our stay was that it was not longer. It was a perfect weekend , in a perfect home.(URL HIDDEN) Cynthia

This is a beautiful historic home in a great location! It's a great home base for exploring Marble Falls and the many awesome areas of the Hill Country. We went to Enchanted Rock, Natural Bridge Caverns, Inks Lake and enjoyed the local breweries. We also enjoyed great family time around the table playing Scrabble and more. The house is very well-appointed and comfortable with everything you could need provided by gracious hosts.

Leslie was a fantastic and gracious host, and the house was every bit as charming as the pictures indicate. It has been lovingly remodeled but still retains the charm of creaky floors and the like. There were six adults in our party, and we utilized all of the bedrooms, including one of the hideaway beds on the third floor, and everyone found them comfortable. We had a chef with us, who made excellent use of the kitchen, which is well stocked with pots, pans, and gadgets. We were expecting needing to stagger showers, but we weren't expecting such a fantastic A/C system; no problem keeping cool on the 2nd or 3rd floor - better than any hotel! Our visit was focused on wine tasting, and we found this location to be perfectly situated between our destinations on the eastern end of 290 and the area around Inks Lake - away from the chaos of Fredericksburg proper. It is also just 2 blocks from the historic downtown of Marble Falls - there were several restaurants in walking distance, although we did not visit any. All in all highly recommended!

We stayed in this lovely home for a quick and last minute Memorial Day weekend getaway to the hill country. We shared the home with some other friends. Altogether, 5 adults and 4 kids, aged 18 months to 4 years old, and 2 small dogs. Right from the beginning, Leslie was a wonderful and warm host - she contacted me promptly and provided helpful information in terms of check in info, check out info, etc. In addition, she left us a ton of information about local restaurants and sites of interest, and a welcome note with a bag of chocolates! The house is very home-y. It is a combination of vintage and modern. The decor is super cute. Its location is just a few blocks from the historic area, and a short drive from the lake/river, also just a few minutes drive from the grocery store (HEB). The house comes with almost everything you need: towels, washer/dryer, tons of kitchen appliances (plus an icecream maker and soda stream!), and other kitchen necessities such as spices/herbs, condiments, plates (both paper and eat-in style), etc. Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay there. The home was beautiful and cozy, and so close to many things we wanted to see. Leslie was a wonderful host and was available to contact for concerns, etc. She was also flexible with check in and check out times. We would love to return there to stay again.
