About this listing

Charming furnished apartment (60m2) in the historic pedestrian center of Grenoble for short or long-term rental. Open living/kitchen area, two independent bedrooms with double beds, bathroom and WC. Steps away from everything ...

The space

The atmosphere of the Annex is authentic, cozy, charming and minimalist, not staged or over decorated. A space that you can slip into with simplicity : rest, relax, resource and then easily leave again to explore the surroundings or walk to work. Great for a small family, two couples or even two roommates working or studying in Grenoble.

There are two fully independent bedrooms, the extra-large one (15m2) is street side with a double bed, antique desk and armoire. The small court-side bedroom (11m) is cozy with a double bed, armoire and desk . Independent bathroom with bath/shower, sink and towel warmer. Separate WC (toilet) and small laundry/utility room.

The kitchen/living room is spacious (20m2), comfortable and highly functional, situated court-side with a television, couch and lounge chair, bar and an antique table that sits four. The couch is a convertible bed that can sleep two extra guests (see terms for extra guests).

The apartment was fully renovated with respect for the history and ecology of the space, wooden floors, stripped doors, recycled and repurposed stuff and ecological paint. Please use everything gently and with respect.

Noise & Guests
We share the same entry hall/vestibule with the Annex. So please take care not to slam the doors when coming and going. In old buildings like ours, the wooden floors transmit loud sounds and vibrations exponentially. Entertaining is fine but no parties (ie: not more than 10 humans at one time in the flat). Please take special care with your guests to brief them on the intercom and proper door-bell to ring. Make sure you manage the doors coming and going...especially after 8PM. Respect our sleeping child and the neighbors please.

Animals:
Small pets accepted for long-term stays upon special request (at an extra cost).
Smoking:
No smoking Policy.

Recycling:
We recycle, you can too. There is a sorting bin and recycling containers in the entry for non-glass recycling. Glass recycling containers are just around the corner... ask us.

This apartment was perfect for what we needed. Jaclyn was extremely helpful in organizing letting us into the apartment and making us feel welcome even though she was traveling herself. The location in the city center was great as we could easily walk everywhere we needed to go.

Jaclyn was the perfect host. She welcomed us, showed us around the apartment, and gave us lots of great information on Grenoble. I sent her a text when I needed a notary fast and she responded quickly with excellent options. The apartment is clean, comfortable, well equipped and in a great location.

Jaclyn was a fantastic host. She made us feel very welcome and was keen to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The apartment was clean, right in the middle of town, and full of French charm. Only snags were that there was a lot of noise at night with the windows open, which they needed to be because of the heat, the television couldn't pick up signals (though we were warned about this separately in advance), and the WiFi was difficult to pick up. Otherwise a perfect stay.

Jaclyn and her husband were very helpful, especially as we had problems finding the apartment and also in helping us finding the right parking place etc... The apartment is located directly in the apartment of Grenoble and therefore a perfect starting point for all kind of excursions. One can reach everything starting from bars, restaurants ... by feet. The apartment is fully equipped also with a baby bed if you need one:-) In total we had three very nice days in Grenoble and in the apartment and can definitely recommend staying there.

Me and my friend arrived to Annex quite late as our train from to Grenoble was the latest one, but the host - Jaclyn was awaiting us at the entrance. We got the wormiest hospitality and detailed instructions/advises for our one week stay in Grenoble and in annex. Jaclyn has organised everything for its host in a very careful manner, you get details on everything: where to shop, where to sight-seeing,wi-fi internet password, best places to eat, etc. these facts are in a very well organised diary. that is very helpful!!! As for the Annex (the apartment), it is located in a very centre of Grenoble, in an old town, next to Stendhal museum. The location is very good in terms of logistics as well, only 5 mnt walk to tram station and the best and the oldest restaurants of France are around this place, as eel as nice garden across the street. The overall comfort in the Annex is very good, hot water, kitchen, coffee machine, comfy beds in a two separate rooms... So I do return to this place again, when will be trawling to Grenoble.

We can not thank Jaclyn enough for her hospitality during our stay. The apartment was more than what we expected and the location was perfect. Having all the amenities of home, the apartment was a great place to relax in the evenings. Although it has been updated to today's standards, the apartment and building still retains the charm of a 600 year old building. Being in the heart of the 'Old Town' made our stay more enjoyable. Everything we wanted to do or see was within comfortable walking distance. A day trip to Paris is also convenient from Grenoble with the train station being a short tram ride away from the apartment. Jaclyn is also a great resource for recommendations for shopping, restaurants, markets, and places to see or visit. We especially want thank Fifi for sharing her toys with Liam; that was a priceless gesture of true kindness between children. Also, we have to thank Jaclyn for her help in handling our issue with our airline and stroller. Jaclyn arranged with the airline to receive our stroller which was lost and damaged, so we could go to bed early after a long day of travel. Jaclyn definitely went above and beyond what a host/hostess would normally do for a guest. It was much appreciated. If we have the opportunity to return to Grenoble, we will definitely make a point to try and book with Jaclyn again. Thank you and kindest regards, Lisa, Ray, Liam, and Leslee
