Patti is really a wonderful women. It all started even before our arrival. She informed us what is already in her fruit garden. Than she described us the direction stone by stone so to get to Villa Verde was easy peasy. Her warm smile invited us and she has explained us everything what we ask for.The apartment is cozy and well equipped with many items on the walls, so you feel like at home. And the best of all is a large terrase with amazing view to the ocean. We spent long evenings on the terrase, kids in hamakas and we in comfortable chairs just talking and enjoying the wonderful view and sky full of stars. For my wife it was a paradise. She did not want to leave Dominica and Villa Verde. And she really admired Pattis live style.

Patricia was extremely helpful in every way she could. She was a delight to be around and talk to. The place we stayed at was both roomy clean and cozy. Works just as well for a family as for a group of friends. When staying at Pattys you will probably enjoy your time at Dominica the most. If not, I'm sure Patty will do what she can to make it happen. :-) We hope we'll get to experience Dominica again and then Patty will definitely be the place for us to stay at yet again. :-)

Patti was very welcoming and replied quickly to our messages. The apartment was spacious and the kitchen was well stocked, wifi was a bit patchy and the best signal is on the deck. We enjoyed our stay here.

Patti was wonderful!!! She made us feel very welcome! Her house is beautiful and the view is amazing!! Its in a very safe little town on a hill but off the beaten path. We spent most of our time in Mero Beach which is a few miles away but a short bus ride.

From start to finish our stay at Villa Verde was wonderful. Though we did not see Patricia, her neighbor Scott took great care of us. We knocked on his door multiple times a day with questions and he always greeted us we the biggest smile and hospitality. The people in the area were incredibly friendly. We thought we would be able to get away with not renting a car but in order to see all the things Dominica has to offer, it is pretty much a must. We spent about 2 months traveling the Caribbean staying mostly at Airbnb places and Dominica/Patricia’s home/hospitality was easily the best stay we had. Probably not for the traveler who would prefer a 5 star resort type stay, but was perfect for us who wanted to see authentic Dominica. Will not forget this place and would recommend to anyone wanting an authentic experience.

The house is situated in Salisbury – upper town, it is on a hill above the sea, so the weather is not so hot - it is much more comfortable than by the sea. You can enjoy quite evenings in a terrace, sunset above the sea and hummingbirds. Even so you are in the village and most of your neighbors are local people. You can buy fried chicken and bananas and drink your bier in front of a small local shop with friendly village people. Firstly my mother was surprised that we are accommodated among simple local houses (there is a wide scale of different types of houses - such a nice like Villa Verde is, but also smaller houses even wooden cottages), but soon she started to call that place “our home”. We enjoyed Patricia’s oranges for making a juice and we apology to the next guests that we ate a lot of them :-) (but pineapples and mangoes are going to be ready :-) ). Patricia was a nice host, she helped us with everything and she managed for us what we needed. And when she was not there, there was her neighbor Scott, who was also very helpful and kind. We had rented car and we were travelling round the island. We have seen many other guest houses and hotels and finally we all agreed, that it was a good choice for us to stay in Villa Verde.

We have owned a home in Dominica for 11 years. The Beach House was built for family beach days and the Villa Verde apartment was built under our house for when our children, family and friends visit so they can have some privacy while visiting. We live in a regular Dominican village, Salisbury, not an expat community. We believe Dominica has something special to offer. We are avid divers. If you are interested in diving we can refer you to the dive company that we use on the island or to one of the ones that is near by. We have tried them all. We are from the US, Arizona. Very different from Dominica. We live in Dominica part time right now, my husband still works, someone has to
We travel frequently to different places. But we are not group travelers nor do we use travel agents. We search for places we want to go and research them and do all the booking arrangements ourselves. We are on the go travelers, up early and going until late.
We have enjoyed meeting people visiting Dominica and watching them as they become entranced with the island.
