Come enjoy this private bed & bath guest suite with shared access to a kitchen that is also my apothecary/office. The first floor of our home has served as a healing space for many folks and glows with positive energy. This is a bright & quiet nook in the city. We are about 4 blocks away from JHU, Fells Point and Patterson Park.

The space

The space is much like its own apartment, with private bed /bath and modestly shared kitchen living room, all on the first floor of our historic 3 story row home.

The space is bright with high ceilings. The bed/bath suite is very private and quiet as it is in the rear of the house with no floors above it. The warm light that comes in the afternoon is like nothing else. The stained glass adds to its beauty. The bathroom has a great rainfall showerhead and is stocked with toiletries.

The wifi connection is strongest in the kitchen/office area, which you have full access to between 5:30 pm and 9:30 am on weekdays and more during weekends. We are currently working on getting stronger wifi in the bedroom.

Guest access

This private suite is in the rear of the first floor of the home. The front room of the first floor is used as an office part-time. You will have a separate entrance, as we have two front doors to our property. You will pass through a laundry room & hallway to get to the private bath and bedroom. The apothecary is sporadically in use. If so, it would be between 9:30am - 5:30 pm on weekdays. Outside of those hours it is pretty much yours to use as a living room and kitchen.

Interaction with guests

I will be happy to help in any way I can, but will also respect your privacy. If you like, I would love to share a cup of tea with you in the apothecary and tell you about great places to eat and visit in Baltimore.

Other things to note

Parking is a bit challenging in this neighborhood. If you have a car, I will be happy to advise on where and how to park it depending on what time of day you arrive. Once you find a spot, it is free and you may leave it for up to 3 days without moving it.

Olivia is an exceptional host. She offered me a space heater when it was cold and figured out daily rates for a local bus pass. She was accommodating when my flight arrived earlier than her typically allotted check-in time. Her home is quite lovely and comfortable. I would easily stay at her home again if I return to Baltimore.

We loved our stay at Olivia's place. It was very clean, welcoming, quiet and private. It truly is a calm and peaceful space. The location was perfect for us-close to family-but it is also close to the waterfront/historic district and a great park. We'd love to stay there again.

Olivia's home is beautiful, and Basil the cat is so sweet. I was in town for the natural products convention, so the Healing Space was a perfect fit for me. It was an adorable space and plenty of privacy. I would definitely return!

Excellent place to stay if you're heading to Baltimore. Such a perfect space for an airbnb. Olivia is as friendly and accomodating as the reviews and the space exceeded my expectation. The bed was really comfortable too.

I am a clinical & community herbalist from Baltimore. In addition to botanical medicine, I am passionate about meditation, art, travel & food. My historic row house in Baltimore is not only our home but where I practice clinical botanical medicine. Come get some herbal love and soak up the warm yellow vibes of our extra room.
