Via Sarpi is at the hearth of Milan's Chinatown. It's a super safe area, recently renovated and turned into a pedestrian zone. It's packed with shops, restaurants and wineries, street musicians play during week ends. It's a strategic location. It's within walking distance from Corso Como, Brera, Garibaldi, the new district of Porta Nuova and Parco Sempione. It's the perfect location for "Salone del mobile" (some events are held in via Paolo Sarpi) and Milan Fashion week.
Located on the 3rd floor of a traditional ‘casa di ringhiera’, the building has been recently renovated by a French architect. Our apartment is a fair mix of Scandinavian design with a touch of Chinese style furniture we brought back from Shanghai. The room we rent has been recently painted and has a private alley and bathroom and double exposure on the pedestrian area. It has a TV with Netflix and a comfortable sofa bed perfect for one guest.
Free wifi access
Bike rental (Bikemi) available downstairs.
Interaction with guests
Having lived for many years abroad, we enjoy meeting new people and learning their stories. We'll do our best to provide you with useful instructions to get the best from the time you spend in Milan.
Other things to note
We have two charming, totally used to have new people around. They are busy with their schedule for most of the day. We all speak English, french, can easily understand and communicate in Spanish and keep a decent knowledge of mandarin.
In order to make your stay more convenient for you and us, there are a few things we would be appreciated if you could kindly pay attention to:
1. It is a no smoking apartment, you can easily smoke on the big balcony we have
2. No problem with using the kitchen for light meals, but please ask before.
3. Only booked guests permitted in the flat at all times.
I am Italian, born and bred in Milan but I've been an expat in China for many years. I live with my husband and my two charming kids, who are totally used to have people around and are busy with their own activities for most of the day.
We are sociable and love meeting new people, that’s why we decided to rent out a spare room. We all speak good english, lvd speaking french, can easily understand spanish and keep a a decent level of chinese mandarin. Being seasoned travellers ourselves, we know how nice it is to stay in characterful homes rather than bland, corporate chain hotels. If you choose to stay in our home we will do our very best to ensure that you'll have a nice sojourn and relaxing time. Although we love socialising and making new friends we also respect guests' need for privacy.
We all have a well developed sense of the ridiculous, so be ready to use yours!
