Guest access

Please be advised we do NOT have ATM's in Yelapa. Get Pesos from any ATM in Puerto Vallarta (except the airport, very low exchange rate)
How to get to Yelapa from Puerto Vallarta airport (airport code: PVR)
Take the airport taxi (booth is on the left inside the airport when you come out after customs, (2 people 195 Pesos) ) Tell the driver to take you to the Los Muertos pier to take a water taxi to Yelapa.
We have now a "Yelapa Office" in Puerto Vallarta it is located on the left, as you arrive to the Los Muertos Pier. You can buy your round-trip ticket water taxi tickets there (320 Pesos per person). You also can store your luggage there if necessary and exchange money.
Tell the captain of the panga (water taxi) to let you off at Isabel's beach, where we will pick you up. Please tell us in advance whether you need your luggage to be carried to the house...

By the way we have the best natural water source you still can find on Earth! It comes from 2 miles up the jungle mountain natural spring! (We do use water filter at the house of course) You will taste the difference!

Really nice and quiet place. Way off the beaten path, which is good as long as you enjoy hiking. House is well equipped to cook simple meals, and it's very private and quiet.

The accomodation met me needs for privacy in the first few days of my trip when landing in this beautiful spot. You will get your share of cardio in the hike to and from the place along a mix of flat and rugged terrain. Gorgeous view overlooking the ocean and jungle. Binoculars even provided for guests to bird watch from the balcony. Felt lonely at times due to the isolation, so if you're traveling solo be potentially prepared for this.

We loved the solitude, peace, and the views and sounds of House of Harmony. We were enchanted. We were torn everyday when we left - wanting to stay in the hammock and day bed but also to go and explore at the same time. It is a good distance from town - about 1.25 miles - so bring good shoes to walk in. And a flashlight or headlamp. Absolutely recommend!

Thank you guys for your nice review! Yes, I have added now where the casa is exactly located and how long the walk to the village is. It will also be on the Yelapa info map. I did mention here that there are no ATM's in Yelapa... Keep in mind that right now the dollar is very strong and you get so much more Pesos than ever before, but yes, it is a little bit more pricy because most groceries are coming by boat from PV but still not as expensive as the US i.E. ;-) Thank you for staying with us and I hope to meet you in the future in person!

In case you missed this: this "house of harmony" is a 30-40 minute hike away from the town of Yelapa (ie. the next supply store, the beach, restaurants & nightlife, etc.), so they aren't lying when they say it's "away from everything". I just mention this cause it wasn't completely clear to us from the description of the listing. We were looking for a peaceful quiet retreat so this was a perfect match, everything about this house is exactly as you can tell from the pictures. It's exceptionally well built, tidy and has everything you need to just be one with nature! Thanks Austin and Angelika.

Thank you Paul! I am happy that you had a great time in Yelapa and in our House of Harmony. I did check the walking time though to the first store and the Pueblo (village) which as you know has several restaurants as well as on the beach and the Club de Yachtes where we have disco's Wednesdays and Saturdays and it takes me 20 minutes. It takes me 12 minutes from the casa to Isabel's beach. Yes, you are right it takes at least another 20/30 minutes from the Pueblo to the main Yelapa beach and the Yelapa Oasis by the River (live music). Thank you, I will post a photo where guests can see the exact location in relation to the Pueblo/beach. Hope to host you again in the future and meet you in person :-)

Angelika is a most wonderful hostess! She made us feel more than welcome. She helped us with our travel arrangements, met us at the dock where the boat arrives, arranged for our luggage to be carried to the house, then took us through the town to get us oriented. She showed us every detail of the home, which made us feel relaxed right from the start. She helped us throughout our one-week stay in many ways and was a lovely person to spend time with. The home was perfect for us because we wanted one week in a private home filled with plenty of nature. It is close (right above) the shore line, surrounded by beautiful natural jungle, quiet except for the surf. A great place for outdoor-minded people to rejuvenate. One needs to be prepared for how remote it is. Not only is Yelapa remote, but this house is on the edge of the trail from Yelapa--a good hike. We were glad we did not have to do it in the dark because we like to be home early. Also, because it is a palapa (exactly what we wanted) there are no windows which is a nice feeling to be immersed in nature, but creatures sometimes shared their space with us. Another thing with was fine with us was that the bathroom and bedroom are both on the second floor, with access being a cross between stairs and a step ladder, so guests should be physically comfortable with climbing steps and hiking over rough terrain. Thank you so much, Angelika, for our week in paradise!

I am a Massage Therapist, Reiki Master, writer (working currently on my book 'Beyond The Mirror World') and the True Mirror Representative. My husband built with the help of Mexican locals our oceanfront palapa style jungle house Casa de Armonia. Yelapa is one of the few places in the world which can be called 'paradise'! because we don't have cars! 2 waterfalls and abundant plant and animal life.
