Enjoy a Bunkhouse experience on a century old homestead property. Everything about this rustic refurbished bunkhouse is unique. Hard to believe and hard to describe, maybe the view of Mt Shasta says it all. INCREDIBLE. Although just a mile off Interstate 5 near the local Weed Rest Stop and Weed Airport, it is quiet and serene along the banks of the Shasta River.

This original Bunkhouse has a full kitchen, spiral staircase, wood burning stove, and cozy rooms with a mountain view!

The space
The Bunkhouse is near the main house and resident saloon which are centrally located on the 16 acre property. The original home was built at the beginning of the 20th century, and has been a working farm ever since. The Shasta River runs through the entire length of the property and Mt. Shasta is visible from nearly every corner.

Well-mannered and supervised pets are welcome! There is corral space available to house your horse during your stay.

Guest access
Guests are welcome to explore the surrounding fields and the banks of the Shasta River, which are covered with ripe blackberries in late summer and fall.

Guests are welcome to check-in anytime after 3pm. For those who arrive late afternoon/early evening then your host, Dave, will be around to personally welcome you to the Bunkhouse. If checking in later, the bunkhouse will be set up for you and there is a binder with all the information you'll need to have a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

Other things to note
We are near golf courses , hot springs, hiking, fishing, biking, and many other outdoor activities.

Please note that due to the current situation with Covid 19, we have implemented additional cleaning and sanitization processes between bookings.

I am a retired physical/health professor and coach. I taught and coached at the local community college for 35 years. I bought Edgewood Farm in 1982 and it has been my passion and home ever since. I raised two children and countless animals, including horses, goats, chickens, pigs, cows, cats, and dogs. I currently raise grass fed beef and farm fresh eggs. Most days are spent taking care of the upkeep of the property and taking care of the animals. I spend summers irrigating and sneaking away to some of the world class fishing locations in Northern California. I like to keep things pretty simple but always love to share my piece of paradise with any who wander through.
