The space

The house consists of ground floor, first floor and a large yard of 250m2 . All rooms are fully furnished and equipped with air conditioning for cooling and heating. You have two parking spaces for two cars at the entrance of the house waiting for you.

The ground floor has a spacious living room with fireplace that guarantees a pleasant atmosphere created by the open fire. A very special corner of the house is located under the steps, it contains a comfortable sofa, which if necessary, can be converted into a bed for two people.

The ground floor also offers a kitchen with all the necessary elements, such as dishwasher, stove with oven, microwave, kettle, coffee maker, toaster and all other kitchen utensils that are necessary for comfortable cooking in a natural and rustic setting environment. You will also find a spacious bathroom with washing machine and a spacious shower at the ground floor.

Climbing the strikingly beautiful staircases you will be lead to the upper floor of the house, where you will find two bedrooms and a further bathroom. Both rooms are equipped with air conditioning, satellite TV, wardrobe and a double bed. In one of the rooms it is possible to separate the double bed into two beds, therefore it is perfect for families with several children.

Leaving the living room you will discover a 45m2 large terrace with panoramic view of the beautiful nature park Biokovo, the Adriatic Sea and the Dalmatian islands Brac and Hvar. The patio is covered with a sunscreen and equipped with garden furniture to make your stay on the same to an unforgettable relaxing experience.

On the same outer level under the pergola is an ancient summer kitchen located, which offers a romantic atmosphere during outdoor cooking. The outside kitchen is equipped with a large outdoor grill that allows you to prepare authentic Dalmatian dishes due to the grill and the natural fire. Right next to the grill you will find all the necessary tools for grilling, and a sink with water access. To complete your social gatherings outdoors a large wooden table with benches is available, which can accommodate 12 people.

On the lower floor you will find on the outside the " Mediterranean Way", which we made with a lot of love and pride, so that you can get to know all our native herbs such as rosemary, lavender, sage, laurel , iris, etc. . The atmosphere is completed with a small waterfall and as such this is the perfect place to relax with a cup of coffee in your hand and enjoy the bond with nature.

The "Mediterranean Way" leads you to the 20m2 swimming pool with view of the beautiful nature and the sea. The ambience is optimized with sun loungers and a pavilion. The pavilion contains within itself a bed. Watching the sunset and enjoying the day at this place gives you an overwhelming feeling.

Beautiful views from house down hillside to sea, facing islands of Hvar and Brac Quiet secluded spot but has access to small resort of Baska Voda and village with good restaurant providing Croatian food above. Split is 1 hour away. Good road access to motorway to city Nice bedrooms and bathrooms. Well equipped with washing machine dishwasher outdoor BBQ etc. Sun beds are quite heavy to move. Lovely planting and pots in garden Would benefit from some more crockery including teapot and a more confortable sofa. Current sofa is very hard. Need to be aware of multiple steps down to pool which are uneven, small step up into kitchen and narrow stairwell inside house with only rope on wall as handrail. Not suitable for adults with mobility concerns or very young children

Lovely house with great views over the sea . The pool area is beautiful , perfect for relaxing . The BBQ area was great and we cooked local fish on it . Short walk to the lovely Panorama restaurant and an easy drive down the hill to restaurants in Baska Voda . A great holiday was had by all .

This is definitely the best place to stay if you want to discover the Makarska Riviera and you don't like the crowded villages near the coastal road (the village of Baska Voda is literally invaded by air mattress carrying tourists!). The house is an oasis where you can spend hours on one of the terraces watching the sea and the islands. We also enjoyed the national park Biokovo (my husband made it to the highest peak of Sveti Jure - 1.762m). We visited both Split and Mostar. The nearby Konoba Panorama restaurant is very good, but you have the same panorama 'at home' and the fireplace is great you can just cook everything there! Buy olive oil at the neighbours. Thanks Dean and Melodi for sharing this piece of heaven, we left with a heavy heart.

Dean's parents were there to welcome us and show us around the property. The garden is the best feature along with the view of the sea from the balconies. Baska Voda is the local town and there are fantastic natural beaches nearby. We had a lovely week.

A very lovely house in a beautiful location. We were very warmly greeted by Dean's parents on arrival, who talked us through key information about the house i.e. where to leave rubbish, how to turn on pool lights etc, before handing us the keys. The house sits on beautiful strip of the Dalmatian coastline above the nearby Baska Voda. Both easy to access by road and close enough to the motorway to make a trip to Dubrovnik relatively straightforward. The house was clean and well-equipped. We chose to spend most of our week lounging by the (amazing) pool, admiring the scenery and watching the world go by. We'd also heartily recommend the Konoba Panorama, a great little restaurant, with an amazing view, serving Croatian meat and seafood - and just two minutes walk away. The family were incredibly helpful throughout our stay and were very easy to contact. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

We had a wonderful time in Croatia and Antique House 33 was the perfect base for our holiday. Communication with Dean and Melodi was easy and they were always very quick and helpful in their responses to our queries. On arrival at the house we were warmly welcomed by Dean's parents, with an especially nice touch being that they had laid out an assortment of delicious local delicacies for us! The house itself was fantastic in every respect and more than lived up to our expectations from the photos. Most of our time was spent outdoors; the pool being a great way to keep cool in the heat of the day, and the outdoor grill and dining area providing a perfect setting to enjoy the evenings. All this against a backdrop of sea (with the islands of Brac and Hvar visible in the distance), mountains, spectacular night skies, and a dazzling display of butterflies in the herb garden – it’s hard to imagine a more beautiful setting! Inside, the house was clean and well-appointed throughout. The beds were very comfortable and both bedrooms had several options for keeping cool at night (ceiling fan, large windows with mosquito nets, air conditioning) – so getting a good night's sleep was never a problem. The house is in a very quiet area (we felt like we had the foothills of the mountains to ourselves) and the tranquillity went undisturbed throughout our stay. However, it is ideally situated for access to a number of places for days/evenings out – we would particularly recommend the restaurant “Konoba Panorama” in Topici for fantastic food, a great atmosphere, and stunning views – and only a 3 or 4 minute walk from the house! On top of this, Baska Voda (plenty of restaurants/bars/beaches) is only a few minutes’ drive away, and is also within walking distance (~25 mins – but beware of steep hill coming back); Makarska and Brela are short drives away; Brac (and I think Hvar?) are easily accessed from any of these locations via various ferry operators and rent-a-boat options; and Omis and Radmanove Milnice (for canoeing/kayaking/rafting in the Cetina Gorge) are around a 30 minute drive away. There are also several good hiking options from the house (an information board outside the restaurant in Topici shows some of these). Thanks Dean, Melodi, & family for providing the perfect holiday destination – we hope to return some day!
