The newly renovated self contained studio,in a superb location, is in the upstairs section of our home in the coastal suburb of North Fremantle- between the beach and the river .
The studio is a generous 50m2 and is not just a room. Has a loft space above for storage , and a balcony just for you, and is completely self- contained with your own ensuite and kitchenette. It is ideal for 1 person or a couple.
The beautiful beach( Leighton) is a 5-10 minute walk away. The Swan River is also 5 minutes walk. Fremantle has been voted as one of the "Top 10" Cities in the World to visit in 2016, according to Lonely Planet guide.
We also have 2 of the "Top 5" Fremantle "foodie" hot spots around the corner, as recently listed in the national newspaper.
It is a 5 minute walk to the train station, and buses also around the corner- an ideal location for your short stay ,also meaning you wont necessarily need a car.
The recently renovated studio has its own bathroom and kitchenette with an open- plan sleeping, dining, living area. Tall gabled ceilings and ceiling fans, with glass doors opening onto the balcony make this a welcoming beachside location.
Your entry is not through the main part of the house.
We are a family of 3 living in the main house, on the ground floor below the studio. The studio is secure and is directly above us.
The laundry area is shared with us.
We have furnished this space for you with a queen sized bed ,big TV, small couch and side chair, wardrobe, drawers and a dining table and chairs- that's all you need! Its exactly like the photos show!
The kitchen is fully equipped with a microwave, small fridge, sink, a fabulous French Easy Cook benchtop convection oven and electric hotplate. We also provide you with all the usual crockery and cutlery that you would ordinarily need for meal preparation.
Being situated so close to so much, including the centre of Fremantle, makes this a convenient location for your stay.
There is a wonderful coffee /gourmet convenience store 2 minutes away, The Black Truffle, which sells delicious home cooked meals to take away when you don't feel like cooking,and also the best coffee! We are not only very close to the beach, but also some great award winning restaurants- Bibntucker, Habitue, The Orange Box on Leighton Beach,The Shipping Lane, This Little Piggy, Propellor, Flipside for the best burgers in town and Mrs Browns which is a local institution - a fabulous wine bar, all literally around the corner.
And of course there are the delights of the port city of Fremantle which is just 1 train stop away, or a 20 minute walk if you choose.
We will be here to welcome you and are here for as much or as little as you need us, being respectful of your privacy.
Train station( North Fremantle) is a 5 minute walk and buses into Perth and Fremantle are 2 minutes away, found on Queen Victoria Street. Trains run every 10 mins roughly during the day. Buses are frequent also.

Only suitable for a maximum of two people at all times. Not suitable for children.
Available for short or long- term rent. Please enquire about different rates for longer stays than 1 month.
You are very welcome but it is not a hotel! We expect you to treat our home like you would your own, so this includes respecting the space/our home, doing your dishes and putting your own rubbish in the bin, emptying your bin outside, and leaving the studio pretty much the way your found it.( Apologies for having to spell that out to everyone, as most Airbnb guests would do this naturally, but we have discovered unfortunately not all!)
Check-in usually after 1400 and check out at 1000.
We would expect you to treat our home as you would your own. Please note that this is strictly a non-smoking property.
There is a maximum of 2 occupants only, at all times in the studio space .
As this is our family home we would expect you to be respectful of this and behave appropriately at all times..
No parties please!
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF RENTING THE STUDIO
Note: Variances can be agreed on but only by arrangement with the owner in writing.
PROPERTY IS NOT AVAILABLE TO SCHOOL LEAVERS UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES- SORRY.
Payment and cancellation policy as per Airbnb terms on the property website. Payment and booking of the rental constitutes the clients acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
The owners will make every effort to ensure the property is available as booked. However the owners reserve the right to make alterations to bookings due to unforeseen circumstances.
To maintain a good standard for our guests we require certain conditions to be complied with. We appreciate most will respect our property and that it is our home, but the occasional abuse requires that we state the following conditions.
Number of Guests is a maximum of 2 at all times.
Parties and Functions are strictly prohibited. The price charged is for domestic use only and not commercial. Accordingly this rate does not allow for the extra wear associated with functions in terms of cleaning, garbage removal, wear and tear, repairs etc. Use contrary to this may result in loss of your bond and/or additional payments.
Internet is provided for general browsing purposes and excessive use of this service by way of downloading movies, music etc is not permitted. We reserve the right to recover the cost of excess use by deducting the cost from your bond. We cannot guarantee internet connection, although it is usually available, or any other utilities provided by a third party, eg an electricity outage.
Lights and airconditioner are to be turned off each time when exiting the studio, and the external glass door to the house locked when departing and arriving each time. Locking the external door is very important for household security.
The property is strictly not available to school-leavers or high school students. Not suitable for children or pets.
The property is a non-smoking property, both inside and out.Under no circumstances are fires to be lit .
Damage, Breakages, Theft and Loss are the tenants responsibility during their stay.We request that any damage or breakage is reported to the owner, on your departure. The bond is designed to cover any additional costs incurred including but not limited to, any breakage, damage or excess cleaning requirements, carpet stain removal costs, damage to the garden, walls .etc.
Departure - the property should be left in a similar state to the condition on arrival.(This includes returning all furniture to where it was found on your arrival, leaving the kitchen the way it was found, washing your dishes, putting out rubbish in outside bins etc).
You are responsible for your own housekeeping whilst in occupation as it is not a serviced apartment , or with secretarial services available to occupants.
Check-out time is 10am by the latest, to allow time to prepare property for next guests unless by arrangement with owner.
Disturbance to our neighbours, including excessive noise, is prohibited and may result in termination of rental and loss of bond.
Loss - the owners take no responsibility for the tenant's personal property or personal items. It is strongly recommended that you take out adequate travel insurance to cover your own personal belongings whilst you are travelling.
Variations to these conditions may only be made by prior arrangements with the owner in writing.

We are an Australian family of 3.We love living in Western Australia, and really enjoy our local beachside community, out vibrant and eclectic neighbourhood and the overall location of our family home in North Fremantle WA.
We work together as an Architect and Interior Designer, with our own practise in Fremantle.
