Experience relaxed Amsterdam from my apartment in the lively studentarea of Amsterdam Oost. The area has very become popular in recent years. The best bars in town are just around. On top of that there is daily market and a big park round the corner. The shops go form ecosupermarket to a lots of exotic groceries. The city is close with trams and buses. Bit on a daytrip it is also nice toe walk. Walking 20 minutes to damsquare 40 minutes and museumsquare.
The space is more homely than design. But as I live here myself, it is well kept and cosy. The living is by Amsterdam standards huge, and the couch can host a whole family.
You will have acces to 3 of the four rooms in my appartment. The fourth room i keep for storing. There is wifi, dishwasser, washingmachine, storage for clothes, oven, micowave, cooking facilities including the common ingredients are available. Self-catering is easy. Both normal, several etnic (surinam, morokan, indian) and organic supermarkets are within 50 meters distance. I skipped the television, there is no connection to the network anymore
Interaction with guests
We have our own programme, so dealing with handing the keys needs strict appointment.
Other things to note
Parking is expensive in Amsterdam. In my street sunday is free. The rest of the week i recomment to park in Diemen which is about 10 minutes from my house with tram 9, and has a 10 minute frequency. Leave the car there and move around walking, biking or with public transport.
Avoiding loud noise and respect for the house is enough. Smoking is strictly not allowed. The house in pretty robust, but some things need a bit of attention. A small list with points of attention will be available. I particularly want a good relation with my neighboors. But they are relaxed and tolerant people. Our housing community has large fines for excesive noise after 1 at night. So partypeople might want to go elswere.
