The two apartments (called "Caravaggio" and "Raffaello") are located in the most beautiful part of Rome center, just 5-10 minutes (walking distance) from major attractions, commerce, and restaurants. Situated in a luxury building of XIX century. Both apartments are connected to each other through a door and can be rented together or separately. Both have one bedroom and a separate living room with a sofa-bed. The price is applicable for only one apartment. Special price if rental of both aparts

The space

Both appartments belong to a noble roman family. Their decoration is proudly old and bohémien style. They recall an old moovie atmosphere, such as "La famiglia" of Ettore Scola or "Una giornata particolare" of Luchino Visconti. Very charming indeed. Of course you must be in the right mood for appreciating the "slow" culture of Rome and its inhabitants. Out of time and modern constraits !

Interaction with guests

We will be glad, if you wish, to send you a "Welcome kit" with a number of useful information for your stay in Rome.

Other things to note

The management of both apartments is organized by mother (Graziana) ... she is welcoming and available for conversation. Do not hesitate to ask her about the history of the surroundings, about the building, the Tiber and the expositions to be visited. She knows all of it! She does not speak English and French very well but she’s able to exchange. Ask her a bottle of our wine (produced in the Roman country-side, la Sabina): she will be happy to offer you one if you appreciate home-made and fruited wine.

Pretty old apartment with A/C in the living room only. Found few bugs here and there. Maybe they need to go through some pest control. I also got towels that were rough and smelly and pillows that have yellow water marks - but these were all solved by asking the lady for newer ones. Shower is small so if you are a bigger person, you might have a hard time. For A/C, you will need to turn it on overnight to cool down the whole apartment (when weather's humid) and it tends to be on the noisy side. Regardless, I liked the old feeling that I got from this apartment - especially the keys that look like those from Medieval Ages / Renaissance Era and you really get to use them! It was pretty cool. Later during guided trip, I heard that Italians take pride in maintaining their family house that can be as old as those from medieval ages. So I decided to respect it. Apartment was really close to Vatican (walking distance) and almost right next to Sant'Angelo Castle. Small super market was right next to it so we could buy some snacks and water from there. Host was really kind and arranged the taxi/minivan that would take us to the apartment, because I arrived Rome around midnight. Thank you very much for doing so!
