The flat is OK, but we felt misled and angry over the parking. The Air BNB entry specified there was a parking space. This is why I booked it over another nearby property. A follow-up email sent a few days before our visit gave precise directions to this bay, and also said there were parking permits in the flat. At the time I wondered why there were permits, when there was a dedicated spot. After a long drive we arrived to find another car in the bay. Confused, we took a chance leaving the car in neighbouring bay and went to the flat to get a parking permit. But there were no instructions for which of the various types of parking space these permits were valid. We rang the owner to ask, and got the agent who manages the flat. She told us to go look at the parking signs outside. However, there were no parking signs - we ended up peering in cars to try and work out what permits worked where. After increasingly tetchy calls to the agent we were eventually phoned by the owner, who at least knew the facts: her dad’s car was in the bay, the permits were valid for the road only, and as the permit scheme was new there were no signs on the estate but residents “just knew”. (We later found just one sign at the entrance to the large estate). Both she and the agent claimed we had been told the bay was occupied in a prior email, but we had not. And even if we had, that is still misrepresentation if the original AirBNB entry states a dedicated parking space. And if you give permits and there are no parking signs, you need to provide instructions and ensure the agent knows the facts. We ended up wasting an hour, parking several roads away (as the area was parked out) and very cross on our first evening.

This was a nice, clean apartment in a very quiet road yet 15 minute walk to the City Centre and Clifton. Very good value for money compared to what else i saw in the city.

Decent apartment overall - good sized lounge & bedrooms which were clean & functional, plus it had a parking space & in a secure-feeling area. Bathroom & kitchen were "ok" - shower is a bit tired & shame there was no microwave. Fairly good value for a family weekend outing. Communication was good too.

We enjoyed our stay in Bristol. The flat is in a convenient location for the city centre and the southern suburbs. It had everything we needed and was clean.

Although I didn't meet Ann-Marie, she was easy to reach via email and phone, so getting access to the flat upon arrival was very easy. The designated parking space was just steps away from the flat itself and, as any visitor to Bristol knows, having your own space is a godsend! The flat itself is very well insulated so if you feel the heat you'll want to turn down the radiators and open a couple of windows. Having said that, come the winter I bet any Airbnb user will be very glad to get home after a frosty day out in Bristol and enjoy a mug of tea in Ann-Marie's lovely flat. The lounge and bedrooms are quite spacious (we were a group of three), the kitchen is well-equipped and the shower is lovely and hot. What REALLY makes Ann-Marie's flat such a great place to stay when visiting Bristol however, is the location. Spike Island is a pretty central location and the airport, Ashton Gate, Clifton (the zoo, the suspension bridge, all the best bars and restaurants) and Cabot Circus are all just minutes away. The water taxi is a very handy means of transport if you are heading in the direction of Cabot Circus, but equally you could walk it if you have the time to spare, taking in the sights along the city centre waterfront. Bristol is a beautiful city and the only gripe I have is the recently-introduced parking restrictions - but Ann-Marie's flat is in an envious location and comes with its own parking space, so I would highly recommend it as a base for exploring one of England's finest cities. I suspect I will return at some point in the not-too-distant future!

Ann-Marie was very quick to reply with any questions we had, before and during our stay. Her apartment was very spacious and clean, and it was a short walk to shops in Southville (an Aldi, a drug store, restaurants/coffee shops). We enjoyed our stay here and would recommend this apartment to other travellers!

It is a very lovely apartment. There is also a quite beautiful harbour around this place. The most important thing is that the host is a very nice lady and you can handle any problem about this house asap if you have.
