A nice comfortable double room in a spacious apartment in London's most vibrant area suitable for one person.

The space

This room is very nice and comfortable and, although fairly compact, it comes with a double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, desk and bedside table.

What's more, the apartment is really nice! It's located in a quiet 1930s building; it's clean, bright and spacious and it comes with a well equipped and recently refurbished kitchen; a good bathroom with shower (and a separate toilet, so you don't have to cross your legs if someone is using the bathroom!) as well as period features such as parquet wooden flooring and an exposed fireplace.

The price is excellent value for money, especially considering that the apartment is located in such a fantastic area for people visiting London - whether you are here as a tourist or on business.

Not only are London's top attractions such as the Tate Modern, Globe theatre, Borough Market, Tower Bridge, the Shard, National Theatre and the London Eye all within easy reach, but you are also within a short walking distance of the City - by strolling across the Millennium Bridge.

It also has great transport links, with London Bridge and Blackfriars railway stations being less than ten minutes' walk away; plus there are two underground stations and the Thames Clipper boat service within a similar distance. You can even hop on the RV1 bus and be in Covent Garden within no time too.

There are fantastic restaurants, cafes and bars in the area, especially those surrounding the gastronomic Borough Market! If you want something even more convenient, a Marks & Spencers supermarket is right on the corner too.

With all this and the river and top London sights on your doorstep, what more could you ask for?!

Please note that the apartment is on the third floor and there is no elevator so it is not really suitable for people with walking difficulties.

I had a wonderful time staying in Eleanor's flat! Eleanor is responsible and quick to respond if anything at all needs taken care of (even if she's staying in a town two hours away!). The flat is adorable and has beautiful light.

Eleanor is a very kind and gracious host...the (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) were very nice! The flat itself was cozy and had all I needed for a nice stay. She came down to help me with my luggage. The place is centrally located, it takes only a short walk to get to the City, London Bridge, Tate, Borough Market. Even Marks & Spencer, TESCO Express and Sainsburys is nearby.

Eleanor was fantastic and so welcoming. Her place is light, airy and comfortable. She had great tips which added to a fantastic time in London. The location was great, right next to the Tate Modern, near the tube, the wonderful Borough markets and a short walk to lots of attractions. Eleanor was very helpful and easy to get in contact with if the need arose. I would definitely stay again on my next visit.

Eleanor made it a very comfortable experience; she even picked me up a toothbrush when I forgot mine at my last destination. The location was great and easy to access. The professionals that live there are also very nice and welcoming.

Eleanor was a fantastic host in every way! The flat was exactly as advertised. We had an issue with the internet that wasn't fully resolved but it wasn't her fault and she did everything she could to fix it.

As a travel photographer I've stayed in a lot of places across the globe. I generally prefer to stay in Airbnb properties rather than have a soulless hotel experience. I like to think that I'm a good guest because I'm not noisy and I care for the place as if it were my own.

From my travelling experience I appreciate the things that can make a stay more enjoyable, such as a decent shower, mattress, bedding and towels; complimentary beverages and toiletries; reliable, fast and free internet. All of these things I have incorporated into my apartment so that my guests can have a comfortable stay and enjoy the positives about being away from home without the negatives.
