This is a LARGE bedroom with three windows in a two-bedroom apartment in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. The room has its own separate bathroom and its own private entrance from the hall. The apartment has a large private backyard.

The space

Welcome to your own virtual studio. This room has it's own bathroom and entrance from the hall—meaning you only share the kitchen, dining area and private backyard.

I have plants, no pets, and maintain a clean home. This apartment is one-of-a-kind, with original wood floors and molding.

The location on Huron Street is unbeatable. We are a 2-minute walk from the Greenpoint Ave. stop on the G train and a 2-minute walk to the East River Ferry—a 10-minute commute to midtown Manhattan.

It is in the heart of the best bars, boutiques and restaurants in Greenpoint. The room has a new mattress/bed, closet, dresser and bookshelf. You will have keys to your private entrance, and can use the kitchen, dining room and backyard (when it's warm).

Other things to note

I lived overseas for many years and relied on the hospitality of others to show me their cities and towns and make my time there unforgettable.

I look forward to repaying all those favors.

Mathew and Vicki's home in Greenpoint was the perfect place to stay. The room had its own entrance and bathroom which was so convenient and private. It was very clean and cozy. Parking was surprisingly easy as I had driven into Brooklyn. Once the car was parked, the subway was a quick few block walk away making it very easy to get around town. Checking in and communication was a breeze with Mathew and Vicki. Thank you for providing a lovely, clean, quiet, and safe place to rest. Would stay there again!

We had a great stay. It's close to the metro which is all you need, but it was nice and cozy and I was able to park on the street for free all weekend. The neighborhood is alright, you gotta try the fish and chips at Greenpoint Fish & Lobster Co, best I ever had!

Matthew's place is exactly as described...The pictures are accurate. Clean room with a comfy bed, great bathroom. 3 minutes walk to the nearest subway station. Greenpoint is a great neighborhood. Following the tips Vicki gave us, we really enjoyed Odd Fox coffee right on the corner of Manhattan Av. The East River Ferry (5 minutes walk) is the nicest way to get to Manhattan and offers awesome views of Manhattan and Brooklyn. Our only regret is that we had a very busy schedule and barely had time to met our hosts.
