My place (and soon to be your home) is in one of the best locations in Nairobi.
Quiet neighborhood, 2 minutes walk to Nairobi Arboretum park, safest area as it is across the road from State House and a 10 minute walk to the city center.
Free WiFi included.

The space

Cozy apartment, tastefully furnished to make you feel at home. Your room is private and lockable. You'll have free high speed wireless internet and a mobile phone with a pre-paid local card as an option.

The apartment is surrounded by a large garden with beautifully aged, protective trees. It is on a private road with minimal traffic that leads to the park where you can enjoy walks, runs, quiet time, monkey sightings or just discover the park.

In contrast to the quiet neighborhood, the city center and main business district is a 10 minute walk away. Here, you will get what you need from banks, ATM services, forex bureaus, supermarkets and other shopping areas, chemists, travel agents and airlines, bus and train services, restaurants, bars, cafés, offices, 3D movie theater, schools e.t.c. Every Saturday the Maasai Market ( for Kenyan curios and artifacts) comes to the city center. Here you will have a plenty of options for gifts and souvenirs as well as traditional clothing.

The heavily guarded State House (the President's residence) is across the road which makes this a well secured area. You couldn't have asked to be in a better neighborhood.

Guest access

You will have access to the living and dinning areas, kitchen and bathroom. These are shared areas within the house. The only area not accessible to you will be my bedroom.

Interaction with guests

I am available to offer advice and recommendations on things to do and see in Nairobi and generally Kenya.

Other things to note

I have a Mini Pinscher pet dog who lives with me. He is well behaved, calm and makes for good company if you wish.

Free cleaning services are available if you stay 7 days and longer or at a moderate extra charge if less than this period.

Jacquis place was the ideal place for me. It was clean and tidy and only about 15 minutes to the city. I did not meet Jacqui but was meet by her cleaner as she was away on business. She provided me with a phone to call her if required and she contacted me to see if every thing was OK. Thanks Jacquis

Very pleasant stay. Ideal location for my business meetings. Easy for Uber to find. Wifi went out briefly once over 4 days but otherwise, it worked perfectly. Jacqui is a lovely person and guests will feel welcome!

I stayed with Jacqui for 2 months and she is one of the best Airbnb hosts I have stayed with. I have made a lifelong friend through this stay. She is an absolute delight and the greatest knowledge trove of Nairobi (and Kenya). She went over and beyond to make my time in Kenya memorable and comfortable. The house has ample space for you to go about your day-to-day activities. The kitchen is well-equipped for your day-to-day needs. The hammock is an accelerant to making life lazy while you are at the house ;) The house is at a great location in the city. For folks who love running, there are fantastic running paths leading from the house. During my time there I found the area safe. (obviously one needs to be prudent and stay cautious) Prince, the mini pinscher is as human as doggies can get. He is tremendously well-behaved and friendly. I am truly going to miss Jacqui, her home and the lil one (Prince).

A very quiet place near beautiful Nairobi Arboretum the perfect place to go for a run or early morning workout. Jacqui is the perfect host: friendly and professional with almost limitless knowledge about Kenya and it's people. Her place has a serviceable kitchen with all necessary tools. You'll spend your downtime in a hammock overseeing a yard with giant trees. Uber can take you to anywhere in Westlands within 5 minutes and anywhere in Nairobi (traffic permitting) within 20 minutes.
