We had a fantastic week at Santa Lucia, staying in Amalfi apartment. This was bigger than we needed but was the only one available. It had two double rooms with a lovely en suite bathroom in one and another bathroom, a large kitchen and a conservatory which we didn't use.
The location was great. A 10 minute stroll down to town, a 15 minute walk back uphill! Five mins away is a supermarket, newsagents and corner shop, with more shops and a great pizzeria another minute or two walk down the hill.
We arrived very late and worn out after a bad journey but Gino made us so welcome, even getting beer and pizza for us!
The pool was fantastic - the photos really don't do it justice. The setting, among the lemon trees at the foot of the hills, is delightful.
We enjoyed a lovely Thai food night, hosted by Gino, with all the other guests. The food was delicious. We weren't able to join the pizza night where Gino cooked pizzas as we were already out but other guests reported that the pizzas were amazing.
Staying here felt like being part of Gino's lovely family but we were also afforded as much privacy as we wanted. We loved the family's two dogs, Stella and Sara, and the two new kittens (not yet baptised!) were adorable.
We would recommend Santa Lucia residence highly - central location but a peaceful haven away from the hustle and bustle of Sorrento.
