We love living here, we are away from town, out in the woods mainly.
Our road is dirt and gravel, well maintained.
We have several neighbors, all of them good, friendly people. We all watch out for one another and help each other from time to time.
We raise hair sheep (they shed their wool naturally in the spring)
We raise dairy goats too as well as chickens and a couple of ducks to keep the slugs down.
We try to grow our own organic vegetables and fruits, we are always learning new things.

My husband Jim, my father Bob and I moved to the Olympic Peninsula 17 yrs ago from California where I had a sign and mural business for 20+ years and Jim worked as a pest control officer in Vallejo. I am a Washington native, my husband is from Rodeo, CA. My father, Bob, is a retired landscape Architect, also a WA native and a WA state U alumni. He is the owner and lives in his own cottage on the farm. We are both retired and now help him with the farm and our Airbnb. We raise sheep, goats, ducks, and chickens, grow vegetables, berries, herbs, and fruit. Jim cleans the room and makes the bed. I do some of the cooking, gardening and manage him. We have 30 sheep, 12 goats, 2 very friendly Corgis, 1 cat, 2 ducks and a lot of chickens. Retired from the sign and mural business I now spend time in my art studio at home and also love to cook, garden, paint, craft, make cheese, read and listen to music. Jim, also retired, likes to read, watch TV and care for his 'flerd' (flock/herd). I love to travel and have visited England, Scotland, Mexico, Canada, Alaska and Israel. Jim likes to stay home and receive postcards from me. If there is one thing I love, that's spoiling my guests. If you stay with us you will be treated like dear friends and I will do my best to make your stay as comfortable as possible. We want our guests to feel loved and cared for. 5 things I can't live without? Well, my husband for sure, he is my rock, my best friend and the most trusted person in my life Music, I love classical, country, cowboy music from the 30s, bluegrass and inspirational, all sorts of folk and music of other countries. My Pembroke Welsh Corgis Max and Toby Gardening, I am obsessive when it comes to gardening. Painting, I am a professional artist, illustrator, retired from sign making and murals. Still painting art. At the end of the day we like to watch British TV We want all of our guests to feel a sense of peace, we like to call it 'Shalom in our home' while you are visiting, a total relaxation from the worries and cares of home and work. Relax, enjoy a cup of coffee, watch the sunset to the west. Sleep to the sounds of frogs' chorus at the pond close to you, or owls, even coyotes! In the morning birdwatch from bed even while you sip your coffee! This is what we hope folks will do when they stay. For so many, Its hard to relax, but we hope that you will. And we hope you will leave here feeling refreshed and rejuvenated and loved, ready to face the world! :)

During your stay
We love chatting and getting to know our guests. That's what is special about AirBnB, the interaction with guests and hosts. We have found most AirBnB guests don't stay in people's homes unless they really want to interact with the hosts. But, if you need your own space we are fine with that as well. :) we understand that traveling can be tiresome and we want you to enjoy your time here and relax as much as possible.

If you want to help with farm chores you are welcome to 'pitch' in. Most of our guests get a lesson in milking the goat. (when she is 'in' milk)
Looking for the FULL farm experience?
Of COURSE you can shovel manure!!! You needn't even ask!! We will make sure you get a shovel and a pair of work gloves. Weeds are ALWAYS free here at the farm, so do help yourself!! ;)
