Our stay at this delightful retreat was superb, it really is a touch of heaven! Perched high on the hillside with views forever. We spent hours sitting and eating meals under the large covered outdoor pergola, with Pizza oven , looking down onto Santa Maurgerita, along the coastlines and out to the horizon. The house is well setup with all amenities, and the (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN)/little cottage is a peaceful retreat, all this is set into well a maintained garden setting and olive grove. Private and peaceful it is a a soothing retreat which we loved. The steep stair climb down (and back up!!!) the hillside gives access to Santa Margarita and the walk around the coastline to Portofino is well worth it. We made the stairs our daily fitness routine! A great stay in a fabulous setting ...... We will return

Beautiful, off-the-beaten-path cottage with the most incredible view of the port. Cristina and her sister Federica took very good care of us, and even left us some breakfast pastries the first morning we were there. Always communicative and helpful - highly recommended!!

fantastic place: first of all the view. central location, but very quite. the pizza oven and outdoor kitchen are perfect for great evenings, making pizza together or prepare fresh fish from the harbour of santa margherita. all our questions have been answered immediately and even our arrival in the middle of the night due to a late flight was no problem at all. we will come back again, for sure

We had an incredible stay at Cristina's house in Santa Margherita. After some initial concerns about whether to stay closer to the Cinque Terre or further north, we soon realised Santa Margherita was the perfect base to both enjoy in itself and also to explore from. The house and garden are fantastic (hello private olive grove). We only used the main house and still thought it was great value. The gardens and view are better than the photos suggest as the location gives you a panoramic view of the coastline. We were welcomed by Cristina's sister and her husband and Cristina was very responsive via text message during our stay and helpful in booking us a taxi to nearby Rapallo Station. Rapallo is the closest station by taxi but Santa Margherita is closer by foot. The distance by foot to SM may be the only down side if you don't enjoy walking. It's 10 minutes down hill and 15 minutes up hill if you're reasonably fit. We found the walk enjoyable and a small price to pay for the absolute privacy and amazing views from this property. Taxis aren't cheap (€30 from SM, €20 from Rapallo one way) so we preferred to walk and use this on other things. Favourite memories were swimming all day at the local beaches and especially at San Frutuosso (a short ferry trip away) and walking to Portofino, taking in the beautiful villages and coastline along the way. We took a day trip to the Cinque Terre villages (by ferry 2hrs. and by train return 1.25hrs. - take the trains, much quicker and cheaper) and were very happy to return to the peace and quiet of this house and leave the tourists behind. Highly recommended if you want to see the best the Italian Riviera has to offer.

Cristina and Federica's house offers a spectacular view over Sta Margherita. Nothing more relaxing than having an aperitivo on the large and well furnished terrace. The outside kitchen offers all you need to cook and dine al fresco. the olive tree garden is immaculate and you can walk down (and up, but slower) to town along a narrow path next to the house, leading you straight to the beach. The pictures represent the property well, but the garden in much larger than we expected. The house itself is rather small but well furnished. You don't want to spend any time inside as the breathtaking view and the great garden make you want to spend all your time outdoors. Thanks Cristina and Federica for your hospitality. we hope to be back soon.
