This is a family owned apartment, specifically built and designed to provide folks visiting our beautiful town with a perfect place to stay. We set out to create a clean, stylish, modern, and comfortable space with exceptionally fine attention to details including white oak hardwood floors, quartz countertops, brand new premium appliances throughout, light dimmers throughout, outlets and charging stations next to each bedside, a custom built Murphy Bed that converts to a mid-century modern couch, a separate private "Relaxation Loft" with queen-size bed, two flatscreen TVs with Netflix, Hulu, and other streaming services, and local art hanging on the walls. We also provide our guests with a complimentary selection of teas, plus coffee beans and two free coffee drinks from Hopscotch Coffee, a local roastery that's located within walking distance only a half mile from the apartment, as well as two free craft cocktails from Cardinal Spirits, a local distillery just down the road from Hopscotch. The kitchen is ready to be used as well, with everything you need to cook your own meals, including dishes, cutlery, pots and pans, and even cooking oil. We also provide fresh towels and washcloths, shampoo, conditioner, and body soap.
We have two side-by-side apartments available for rent. This listing is for the East Apartment, which is almost identical to the West Apartment, except in place of a Master Bedroom it has a very unique "Relaxation Loft" which is a 4' tall room (that's right, it's only 4' tall!) with plush carpeting. It has a queen sized platform bed, mood lighting, and a wide screen TV. The room is accessed with a step ladder and can be closed off with a custom accordion door. It is perfect for watching movies with the family, or as a cool room for kids to hang out and stay in. Watch your head! The apartment is located above Russian Recording, a full-service analog and digital recording studio that has produced over 1000 albums since 2003. The apartments were engineered to be sound isolated from the studio to prevent sound from bleeding into the rooms. If you're interested in taking a tour of the studio, please let us know and we'd be happy to show you around if there isn't a session booked during your stay.
You may notice that some of the art on the walls features an exceptionally magical cat. That's our cat, her name is Lil BUB (hence the name of the apartment), and she happens to be one of the most famous (and most loved) cats in the world. In addition to being a published author, talk show host, TV and movie star, and a Billboard chart-topping artist, BUB has raised over half a million dollars for homeless pets worldwide. 10% of the booked rate will benefit Lil BUB's Big FUND for the ASPCA, the first national fund for special needs pets.
