A note for guests:
I am currently residing in Los Angeles and thus there is a 9 hour time difference to Vienna. People sometimes write me in the morning on the day of their arrival and then get angry if I don't respond immediately. I usually wake up at 8 am which is 6 pm in Vienna. I, therefore, please ask guests to write me about their arrival early and there will be no problem checking in anyone. I always respond very quickly, but I do also have to sleep.
A wonderful light flooded apartment that has everything one could need for an ideal stay in Vienna.
The apartment is newly renovated in a traditional viennese old building and includes a brand new kitchen and a brand new bathroom.
The kitchen has everything that is needed for cooking and eating (dishes, dishwasher, pots, pans, freezer , oven, induction stove etc...) and the bathroom has a modern rain shower, a big mirror with plenty of light (great light to put make-up for the ladies ) and plenty of space to keep a little beauty product mess as well as a towel heater for the early morning showers.
I also have a blowdryer and all those little things that take up too much space in your luggage.
The living room has a very big wooden designer table that serves as the heart and centerpiece of the apartment. In the spacious anteroom you find a washer and dryer which you may use as much as you want.
The bedroom is small yet super cozy.
You will find a brand new luxury box spring (hotel style) bed and next to it a funky oversized airplane across the entire wall.
The place is located in the young and hip 6th district of Vienna.
You have a bus station that takes you to Burgring/Burggarten (Hofburg, Albertina, Inner City) within 10 minutes literally in front of the building ! and 3 different subway lines as well es several tramway lines no further than 2-5 minutes walking distance. (Subway U4 Magaretengürtel is two minutes, just down the road. Westbahnhof and Mariahilferstraße is a 5 min walk away (=a big railway station that takes you everywhere in Austria and further + a big shopping street / pedestrian zone ).
Brand new beautiful wooden blinds in the living room. (In case it ever gets too sunny)
Darkening curtains in the Bedroom
(for sleeping till noon)
Coffee Maschine (+ Coffee and Sugar)
If you wish you can also borrow my bike (a very nice classy black city bike). I would negotiate the bike situation with each guest separately depending on whoever asks for it, my trust in that person and the length of the stay.
If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask.
I can send you more information and since I grew up in Vienna I am also happy to give a bunch of local insider tipps about this beautiful little city.
I finally got Internet !! :)
Free super fast Wifi that covers the entire apartment.
Please take good care of the apartment as if it was yours:
The living room table surface,
the wooden blinds,
the couch (no stains please),
the floor (stains from water or strong cleaners)
the pots and pans (handwash them please)
the knives and wineglasses (also handwash)
the washing mashine (don't overload it, especially with the dry function it must be filled only to a third)
Please don't stain the walls in the bedroom,
Don't use food items (a tiny bit of olive oil or instant coffee is fine)
Leave it as you found it (everything back to its place.)
be nice to it
Thank you !!!
I was born and raised in Vienna, and I am currently living in Manhattan.
I am a Journalist/Student (NYU) who travels a lot and enjoys good conversations, good food, beautiful places and adventures.
I like meeting interesting people and, for me, any place to stay needs to be authentic and welcoming rather than perfect.
I speak English and German fluently and I am working on my French and my Spanish.
