Beautifully Renovated Provencal Bastide With Heated Floodlit, Private Infinity Pool, Tranquil Setting
Peaceful Country Location - 3km Lorgues, Secluded, Private, Spectacular Views, Wood-Fired Pizza Oven
Sleeps 10 (5 Bedrooms) Fourposter beds, bikes
We chose this beautiful stone house because of it's privacy. It's set in 5 hectares of olive groves and natural woodland, and is a real sun trap, with stunning views over the valley. The pool is heated and has underwater lighting and the garden is floodlit. There is a shallow end to the pool, which is great for small children to sit and splash, and the pool is fenced to French safety standard.
There is a summer kitchen, with table and chairs for 10, plus a day bed. It has it's own wood fired pizza oven - making pizzas is a wonderful way to get everyone being creative, and they are delicious.
There are 10 sun loungers and a hammock strung between the truffle oaks.
There is wi fi internet throughout.
There are bikes for the guests to use - it's a lovely cycle ride down to the village to get bread in the mornings.
All the beds are luxury king sized, with the exception of the master bedroom which has a carved oak super-king four poster. The master en suite bathroom also has an oversized bath. There is another four poster in another bedroom.
We have cots and a high chair.
One bedroom is the the separate stone cabanon between the pool and the house. It has a kitchen and bathroom, and a king size bed.
All around are fabulous walks amongst the vineyards and little hamlets, but it's only 5 minutes to the medieval town of Lorgues with a huge market on Tuesdays, and lots of great restaurants and cafes. It's also only 30 kilometres from the Mediterranean towns of Frejus, St Maxime, and an hour away from St Tropez. We're in the heart of the wine producing region of Provence - there are lots of Chateaux all around offering free wine tastings and tours.
The house is south facing and is at the end of a little lane with no traffic.
Guests have the sole use of the whole house and property, pool, bikes, and so on.
Interaction with guests
When there are guests in the house, we will staying in the area, about 25 minutes away, so we will be on hand if any problems arise.
Hello, I'm Heather, British, but now living in the South of France with my partner, Steve.
I love animals, Steve loves technology and computers. I have two rescue dogs, a Jack Russel and a Border collie, a lovely cat called Mario,
We love the simple rural life that we have here now that we have retired - Steve from the City, me from the farm we had in England. I like to think that we are warm and welcoming, and we really like to help people enjoy their time in beautiful Provence.
