This apartment is close to town and has plenty of parking. But it is filthy. At least one mouse lives in the apartment, he woke us on night two trying to eat peanut butter granola (at least he has good taste) I think he lives in the overhead ventilation (because the vents visibly contained mouse nesting material and dust and general filth); and in the furnace closet (because that is where we found a mouse trap and lots of mouse poop. When I advised the owner, she suggested that I refill the trap(& release) with the peanut butter on the counter. Uh, no. I had to sleep with the light in hopes that "Stuart" as we began to call him would not come out of the dark. The temperature is controlled by the renters upstairs. This is not ideal, as I was freezing one afternoon while the upstairs occupants had the air conditioning on, and sweating that night when they turned the furnace on. When I advised the owner of my discomfort, she told me I should be outside anyway to catch the sunset. The towels were clean. The shower was hot. The master bed smelled like a sweaty man. The master bedroom ceiling fan was caked with dust. There was ketchup in the fridge that had expired 11 months ago. Sitting outside under the covered patio didn't last as wood shavings dropped down into our food, drink, and hair as the upstairs occupants walked/played on their balcony. There were dead and living spiders (and webs) on the walls and ceiling near the guest bed. We tried to book somewhere else so we didn't have to stay here but everything (expedia and AirBnB) was sold out due to the Sedona Yoga Festival. This was my first, and very dreadful AirBnB experience. I was skeeved out and had to throw away food, and wash everything I had put on the kitchen counter when I returned home. Worse than the filth and the mouse roomate was the owners response. Dreadful.
