My charming, clean and bright apartment is located in a quiet street in the middle of the lively East neighbourhood and just 10 minutes from downtown. The garden is adjacent to the spacious living room where you can have a bbq diner.

The space

In the east part of the city ‘Indische Buurt’, in a peaceful and upcoming neighbourhood lies this charming, light filled apartment, appr. 55 square metres (=approximately 807 square feet).

The apartment has a kitchen, bathroom with shower and toilet, cable television, fast wifi and dishwasher. It has a view on the Makassarplein and lies in a neighbourhood with several cafe's, bars and restaurants, which offer a wide range of options for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

If you are looking for a nice place with garden, this temporary 'home' in Amsterdam, close to the center is the ideal place for your stay.
However, when you come to Amsterdam to party I have to disappoint you.
I want my guests to have fun but this should not be at the expense of the rest of my neighbors.

I will be happy to point you to places of interest. Withing walking distance from the apartment lie the Flevopark, the zoo ‘Artis’, Studio-K art-house cinema, the National Maritime Museum, the Tropenmuseum, Oosterpark, and many more points of interest.

Famous areas nearby for nightlife are popular Rembrandtplein and trendy Nieuwmarkt. You'll find more quiet and upmarket options in the area around my apartment.

Also, since Amsterdam is the world's biking capital, bikes may be the fastest and most flexible way to get around. I will be happy to point you towards several close by bike rental places.

Around the corner of my appartment you can take tram 14 which takes you to the Dam square and tram 7.
Bus 22 takes you to the central train station and city centre of Amsterdam. Bus 65 takes you to Amstel train station and Amsterdam Zuid WTC station where you can take the train to Schiphol airport. From there just 10 minutes.

I love the diversity of restaurants and cafe's. If you like to go to the park it is possible within a 10 min walk from my house. The city center is a 15 min drive with the bus or tram and the peace and quiet you can find in my garden.

From Amsterdam Central train station: bus 22, stop: Javaplein.

From Amsterdam Zuid WTC station: bus 65, stop: Javaplein.

From Amsterdam Amstel train station: bus 65, stop: Javaplein.

Tram 14 from Javaplein to Damsquare in 15 minutes.

Tram 3 to Rijksmuseum in 20-25 minutes.

By car: Ring A10 Noord, turn of at exit 14. Paid parking in front of the apartment.

If around I would love to meet my guests.

Other things to note

My home is where my heart is and I want to share with you. With much love, dedication and the time I decorated my house. I hope you respect that and you take care, as it is your own home.

It was really great staying at Marloes place. Very clean ! Comfortably decorated. And she welcomed us with a big smile and beer in the fridge. The neighbourhood has really good restaurants and bars. I can recommend 100% her place. When I will return to Amsterdam I will definitely will go to her place again!

Marloes's home is wonderful. Just as the listing describes. A quick bike ride/taxi to the main attractions in Amsterdam, but not overrun with tourists. I enjoyed the parks and amazing restaurants within a 5 minute walk from Marloes's place. Highly recommend!

The apartment is charming, it has all you need for a nice stay. The bed is very confortable. A month before my arrival, Marloes informed that there would be construction works at a neigbouring house. Unfortunatelly, this was a big mess, caused by the constructors, using Marloes garden to store a lot of pipes, tiles and waste.

Response from Marloes:
I am very sorry to hear about the terrace. I left it nice, tidy and clean without any of these pipes etc. I talked to the constructors that they have caused inconvenience for my guests and they apologies as well as I apologies.

My name is Marloes and I love to travel around the world. I love to cycle, dive, surf, cook and do yoga. I bought my appartment in 2005 and eversince the neighboorhood changed so much for the better. More young people came to the area as well as shops, restaurants and bars. I don't have to go out to the city centre to have a nice time. Now I can find it just around the corner of my house where I live. I rent my apartment to you because I like to give the experience of a local. Please enjoy.
