It is a small fishing village in Tenerife, not mass tourism, the terraces have very cheap prices, prices are not tourist area, for example, a cafe 1 euros maximum.
I'll sleep with the sound of the sea, the apartment overlooks the fishing pier and the beach.

The space

Enjoy the harbour views and the sounds of the sea from the balcony of this modern apartment situated front the beach. It is situated in the sleepy fishing village of Playa San Juan.

The tastefully decorated apartment offers a cosy double bedroom and an open-plan living room/kitchen with comfortable sofas, flat-screen TV and a dining area.

There is a breakfast bar and a well-equipped kitchen with a microwave, hob and fridge/freezer. Guests have access to a spacious roof terrace which provides lovely views of the landscape.

The village itself has successfully avoided mass tourism so guests can enjoy an authentic stay in Tenerife. The well-known tourist centre of Playa de las Americas is just a 30-minute bus ride away via Bus 477.

Relax on the local beach or enjoy sailing, horse riding and scuba diving. Alternatively, take a scenic walk along more than 7 kilometres of coastal paths.

Other things to note

Places to eat in the village:
- Fish, below the apartment and into the harbour you can see the restaurant. Into the dock on the left down the hall.
It’s not a place with luxury but you will found very fresh fish, the owner is called Elias.

I recommend to be typical of the Canary Islands and especially in this area shrimp first, they are eaten of entree as an appetizer, you must learn: Take off his head and press on the tail ..... with beer and during all day.

You may also ask to share with beer spatter tuna, this villaje is a place of tuna (you can see the download tuna from the apartment or from the dock ). You can ask, too for others fish, depends on the day, all very fresh (groupers, sardines, tuna steak, etc..).

The price you will be surprised, is very cheap. (abundant two persons 30 euros)

In front of the terraces and fishing pier entrance but outside, there is a kiosk the "Festival Committee" (the people come together and work throughout the year to raise funds and with those funds will organize the party people) in kiosk that can eat, but also with guaranteed quality and price supereconomics (paella is finished soon).

As for eating in a place more professional and within the village place (Pizzeria Amedeo, Jamon Jamon, etc.), you can see them on the seafront.

Also recommend them as typical of the place, “Mingolo home”, nothing more to get out of village towards Alcala and before the petrol station on your left, also you can go all walked 2 km from the apartment walking to the sea. Local people are going to eat meat goat when you (very typical and scope of the locals not tourists dish is a dish very elaborate and labor intensive and also requires good hand in the ingredients (not all days no meat goat.) also can eat barbecue grilled chicken and wine place.

Great little apartment with super views ,location, and closeness to amenities. The apartment has lots of equipment such as parasol for beach ,books, aftersun etc so if you have not packed everything this might help until you purchase it. The balcony always has a little breeze and if you open the window in the bedroom flows through the whole apartment with helps with the large fan. A lovely sleepy village with a nice mix of friendly tourists who want something a bit different from Los Christinos. If you stay please say hello to the little doggy down below the poor thing gets little human contact and is very cute. Enjoy!!

The apartment is basically a studio. The bedroom is separated from the lounge/Kitchen by a heavy curtain. It is very clean with a great location. The bed and pillows were perfect. If you like to spend hours in your accommodation this probably isn't the place for you but as a base in San Juan it is perfect.

The property was very clean and access was made easy as there is a cleaning lady who lives on the floor below who let us in. The property design itself is a little unusual, there is little privacy and it could do with better lighting. However, the location was great and there was everything required for a good stay. Amazing local bakery nearby, some fantastic restaurants next to the very pleasant beach which is a minutes walk from the door.

Cheap and cheerful. I was going to a wedding in the Ritz ( 6min in a car away) and my 4 nights here was less than 1 night there. The little cafe outside does a great homemade Pizza and a beer for €5. I would highly recommend a hire car, there isn't a huge amount in the town and road out of town has no footpaths.

All in all We had a nice stay in the cozy village. We didn't get the apartment we booked as it was broken. A bit disappointing as we were looking forward to the sea view. The apartment we got instead was nice and clean but wasn't (EMAIL HIDDEN)munication with Ruben was a bit confusing but in the end everything turned out fine
