Recently renovated, our stylish, open plan barn conversion is set in the idyllic rural landscape of County Clare. It adjoins our 150 year old stone farmhouse, and offers a self-contained holiday space ideal for those who like peace and quiet 'off the beaten track'. The clever use of space means you have your own kitchen, dining and sleeping area with a small en suite shower/toilet and the living space includes a unique Bluthner grand piano for the musically minded!

The space
The accommodation is on the ground floor and has ample parking outside. We are about half a mile down a leafy, wooded laneway from the main Ennis road. There is a wood burning stove with fuel provided. A car is recommended as public transport is limited, however walkers and cyclists are welcome, (we can offer lifts if we are around). We are just 2- 3 mins drive (20 min walk) from the local village of Tuamgraney with its well known gastro-pub Nuala's. Scariff town with shopping, post office bank etc is 5 mins drive away. As the fields around us have sheep and cattle we are not keen to host furry friends (pets)...although we do love them!

Guest access
Our garden is here for you to enjoy too, as are local walks from the farmhouse. You may need wellies if it's wet! We also share the large carpark outside the property. We hope you have everything you need in the guest suite, but you can ask for anything you are short of and hopefully we can provide. You can use the washing machine in our shared utility area. One free wash, after what €4 a load. 2 loads max per week. The property is self catering but Tea/coffee will be provided in the guest accommodation for you on your arrival.

Other things to note
If we are away or out we can make private arrangements for your arrival etc. We are happy to be contacted anytime you need us.

Location

County Clare, Ireland

We are situated just over a mile from Lough Derg and the Shannon, surrounded by mountains and lakes. This area of east Clare is well known for it's natural beauty and offers fishing, hill walking, water sports, historic sites, great pubs and restaurants and scenic harbours at Mountshannon and Killaloe. There is plenty to do in the area, there is a local artisan chocolate factory and renowned Mc Kieran weavers.
Our accommodation is also well situated for visits to the west Clare, the Cliffs of Moher and the Aran Islands, Galway and historic Limerick.
