The space

Welcome to charming Chetek. This house was built by my father, a local businessman, in 1938. There is one bedroom downstairs and two bedrooms upstairs, all with views of Lake Chetek. The house has 155 feet of private low bank waterfront and each year is the premier place to watch the 4th of July fireworks. There is a private dock to moor your watercraft. The home is 2 short blocks from the center of downtown Chetek with its interesting shops and cafes with free wifi.

Guest access

The whole house is available, no shared space.

Interaction with guests

I am available by phone, text or email and my house manager is available locally for any needed help or emergencies.

Other things to note

The fishing is generally good off the private dock. A fishing cleaning station is provided. The patio is furnished with patio furniture and a gas grill. A fire pit overlooks the lake for evening treats.

Sharon's place on Lake Chetek was awesome. The view from the dining table is beautiful overlooking the lake. Sharon made the checkin arrangements very easy with her communication, and was accessible with questions via email. Very reassuring to have this communication. The house is great and Chetek is a fun little town. Had a flat tire on a Saturday and the local Cenex got me in for a repair on the spot even on a Saturday. Very nice people.

What would we do without the internet? My husband and I were on a vacation in a foreign country during your stay but that presented no problem keeping in touch. Am glad you had a good time in my hometown. Hope you return.

Sharon's home in Chetek is a perfect location for a relaxing vacation. On the lake, walk to town and a big dock for boats. We have made this our Summer vacation place.

This house was absolutely perfect. We were able to walk a few blocks and be right downtown. We rented a pontoon boat from a near by resort and it worked perfect with the dock and our fishing boat! Plenty of space for a bigger family and The view from this house is by far the best on the lake! Highly recommend staying here!!

Location location location, right? Well nestled in the heart of Chetek this house is exactly where you want to be. You can watch the sunrise on Lake Chetek and spend your days fishing off the dock. When you're hungry, you can walk 2 blocks up to 2nd Street and find numerous great little small town eats. We found a local place to rent a pontoon boat for a day and spent an entire day cruising the lakes and soaking up the sun. The home is full of history and Sharon was a great host! We had a great stay and she was very accommodating. We can't recommend it enough! If you want a great relaxing place to stay, this is it!

Sharon was great, super communicator and very helpful. The house was great, and the written history of the house (a couple sheets of paper on the kitchen table) made the stay more meaningful.

I am a mother of 3 adult children and have been blessed with 3 grandchildren, age 6 and under. Tom and I have been married 42 years. I was raised in this home and it was wonderful growing up in a small town especially living on the lake. In the summer I waterskiied and in the winter ice skated on the lake.
I like to teach although I am a registered nurse by profession. I love teaching my grandchildren. Traveling and gardening are my favorite pastimes. I desire to take charity trips globally as part of my retirement. I hope that your stay in my childhood home is a wonderful experience. The house is full of great memories.
