You can feel it's much loved and lived in.Situated within a minute's walk to Long Beach and restaurants.Fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine, music system etc.2 full bathrooms 2 bedrooms.
Come! You won't want to leave.
This FAMILY-OWNED self-catering guest house was established in 1997 by Susi and Jeremy.Susi is fluent in GERMAN.
THE PELICAN BEACH APARTMENT is refreshingly bright, clean and spacious (120m2),situated on the ground floor.(We live upstairs but this does not affect your privacy).
You literally walk out of the front door, hop across the road and pitch your umbrella on the white sands of Long Beach.
Newly renovated, this apt is a perfect home for a family with children (we supply baby cot and beach toys at no extra cost) or for couples.
There is one bedroom with 2 single beds which can be converted to a KING bed, plus a king bed in the main bedroom with newly refurbished en-suite bathroom.
A favourite spot for the 5th person is the double bed set back in an alcove in the lounge,a real winner with children.Floor to ceiling curtains make it a rather romantic and exciting hidey-hole....not much privacy here though....
The well-equipped kitchen offers everything from a coffee percolator to a garlic press. And if you can't find it, we'll do our best to supply it.
Walk out of the lounge and find a comfy spot in the garden with your book.
All you need to worry about is closing the gate ,as we have a neighborhood full of friendly hounds who love to beg and drool all over our sweet, unsuspecting guests.
Susi will arrange access directly with the guests.CHECK- IN TIME IS OFTEN FLEXIBLE ,BY ARRANGEMENT ,depending on same-day check-in/out.
Access is on the ground floor, with no steps, and is in an enclosed garden with trampoline, safe off- street parking for 2 cars and barbeque.
Interaction with guests
Susi is available to help out with almost anything, almost any time.I am mostly just a phone call away.
Do you need some chilled wine,a doctor, replace faulty light bulbs or share how the Black Oyster Catcher is so clever at eating a mussel? You name it,and I will do my best to keep you happy and informed.
Other things to note
We offer free Wi-Fi but it can be erratic - you can arrange to check your urgent e-mails on Susi's PC.
You may have heard of load-shedding - we provide a 2 plate gel cooker top for these emergencies.
We are experiencing serious water shortage- PLEASE BE WATER-WISE and use the buckets provided in the showers to collect and distribute water in the garden. The same applies in the kitchen. The hot water takes a while to come down through the pipes...
no smoking indoors.EVER.The garden offers a cosy seating area for smokers.
no persons other than those officially checked in may stay over.
please leave the space as you would like to find it.Load the dishwasher and switch it on before you leave. We provide tablets/powder
We are passionate about recycling. Please use clear bags provided for this.

I emigrated to SA from Germany in 1966 and spent my youth in the Cape City Centre before we built our house in Kommetjie in 1990.Married to a South African, mother of 3 and juggler of mayhem.
Can't live without books ,interesting music, live concerts ,my friends and Nia Dance.Walking in our beautiful Nature reserves, especially Silvermine,is absolutely essential.
Double espresso and dark chocolate, good wine and camping at any river's edge ,timeless beach walks and sunsets.Food for the soul.
We are a rather adventurous family which means trotting from Mozambique to Botswana,Zambia to Kruger Park and the annual pilgrimage to Clanwilliam.
Snow boarding and surfing is a passion with my 3 off we go to Europe and remote places in Indonesia.
Me? Not much of an adrenalin junkie.A gentle paddle on my SUP on a still day is just fine by me.Give me a book, hot chocolate and a still starry night any day...Oh, and three my precious children.
