This apartment is attached to our house. Occasionally, you might hear a dog bark or the piano played. If you are looking for TOTAL SECLUSION, a pool, a great view... then you might like a hotel better. We think our place is great for the price. See the pictures to view a floor plan.

There is a shower, but no tub.

We are still renovating the outside of the house. In spite of that, the apartment is lovely and very clean and comfortable.

The interior apartment renovations are finally finished. (so if you stayed with us before June 2016, come back and see how great it looks)

You will be coming and going from the alley. Like most allies, the view is not fancy. Trash pick up is Monday morning, you will hear the truck.

PARKING: Please make sure to park in the spot right next to the RED door. DO NOT park in-front of the neighbors garages. YOU WILL BE TOWED because they need to get work.

Guest access

The apartment is self contained. You have access to the whole 3-room apartment including a private entrance and dedicated off-street parking space. The apartment is attached to our personal house.

Interaction with guests

We love hosting and will be happy to help you find what you need. The apartment is attached to the back of our home. We will be available by text, phone, or email. Once you check-in, we will never enter the apartment unless invited. Most guests just check-in with the keypad and we don't get get to meet them, but sometimes we run into them when we are coming and going. We have been lucky that everyone has been super nice so far!

Other things to note

The kitchen is stocked with cups, glasses, dishes, and cutlery. There is a Keurig and coffee/tea/hot chocolate pods included. Kitchen will have coffee cream, waters, drinks, and packaged snacks.

SAFETY: We live in a very safe neighborhood, but tell all of the guest to keep your car door locked and bring your valuables inside. Crimes of convenience do happen in the city.

I had a wedding in Pittsburgh after a rough week of work travel and Melissa's place was so cozy and relaxing! It's small but cute and she does a great job labeling where everything is and she provides toiletries and snacks. That kind of thoughtfulness really makes a difference while traveling. The house is right across the street from Frick Park and walking distance to coffee and restaurants.

Melissa's place was perfect! It was the perfect size, she provided plenty of cute snacks and other treats, including treats for my dog. It was located in a good location and we were even able to walk to the local coffee shop for breakfast the next morning

This was our first AirBnB experience, and I'm happy to report it was great! The location was very convenient to Frick Park, several restaurants and groceries (East End Co-op). We liked being able to park the car and walk everywhere. The apartment was tidy and well stocked with snacks, cold drinks, teas, coffee and toiletries. We'd definitely return.

This is a lovely, relaxing spot to have as home away from home. Because of the great location, it allowed me to be where I wanted to be easily.

We live at the Neelyhouse in Pittsburgh. We own and lived next door in the duplex for 13 years and then we bought our current house 2008. It was a single family, converted to a duplex, converted to a 4 unit and now we are taking it back to a single family. It is a very active house with a very large dog #WinstonWednesday
