As we arrived so late and Javier had to go to work he had to arrange for his brother to meet us and it couldn't have gone more smoothly. He was in touch with us regarding arrival time on the day and he was very flexible when we needed to make it later. We managed to get parked easily enough considering Javier had warned us that it is hard to park in August. The parking on the street was free from 9pm until 12noon. When we arrived we were a bit surprised to find we were so far from the Old Town and the sat nav was saying it was the guts of an hour walk to town but I'd imagine it would only have been 30 mins and a very pretty walk along the beach. We drove into town very easily in spite of all the warnings against driving on the narrow streets. The apartment's location was just brilliant with stunning views from the big windows - it was lovely to pop to the beach in the mornings. It was actually really nice to be away from the main touristy bits and stay in that area where you could see Cadiz locals going about their day. The apartment was very clean and spacious with a fantastic strong shower! It also had a utility room with an iron and ironing board. Beds were so so comfortable with plenty of towels. The restaurant on the corner downstairs is a must go to aswell! Lovely authentic local experience. I would also recommend Peko Peko Tapas which is a 2 minute walk from the apartment along the main road - beautiful food served by even more beautiful male waiters! There were supermarkets nearby too. All in all a great place to stay in a stunning city that we were so sad to leave! Thanks Javier!
