You'll have access to our whole arty flat: a green balcony over Manila Bay and Ermita streets, our friendly salla to chill out, read, talk or have a drink ;) and if you feel hungry, let's cook: the kitchen is your!

The space

We live in one of the oldest building of Manila! A survival of WW2! The design and architecture belong to a 1940's american style. That's why our unit is a very spacious and our interior is uniquely vintage for a Manila condo. The location is really charming in front of Manila Bay and its great sunset view!
We're really located in the most touristic and accessible neighborhood of Manila.

Guest access

You will have access to our kitchen equipped with all the necessary for daily cooking. You can chill out and rest away Manila crowd in our spacious lounge and take a breath on the balcony facing the bay.
We have a free access Wifi, which is quite slow to be honest, as usual in the Philippines.
We ask many apologize for the disturbance caused by the elevator of the building which is under repair for several months ! We are still and still speaking up for it to the admin office to fix it. Don't worry, we always provide help for your luggage in case of need :D

Interaction with guests

We - Ariel, Julia or Maic, Ariel's brother - are at home during the main time, so you can ask anything regarding your stay in the city and in the Philippines. We are very good advisers to discover the whole Metro Manila, history, malls or nightlife. We love travelling around Philippines and share our experience!

Thanks Lourds! We had a good stay in your place. I'll bring my ukulele next time so we can jam to a few island tunes. :)

Feel for Kirsty (comment below). As I'd read so many nice comments about this place, I thought I would have a great stay with friendly hosts. Well, the "friendly hosts" part was right, they were really nice and helpful, but the place was... under average. As I arrived, the host said he let other people rent the room I booked so he offered me another room, saying that it's no different from the one I saw on Airbnb. But it was a huge different: small window, old walls, dirty bathroom with water being stuck every time you bath or simply just wash your face. I'm not really sure the original room can make any different, but I hope he could inform me before hand. The description said there's hot water and WIFI. No hot water. WIFI only available occasionally. The morning I woke up and found no WIFI, I went to ask them and they turned it on. The night I came back and there was no WIFI and the hosts were all gone to some nearby bar so I had no one to ask. Plus, the speed is like a turtle on sand. Wanna upload 1 picture? Will take you at least 2 min. They never mentioned the long-broken elevator (I found out right before arriving thanks to Kirsty's comment but it was too late) and the noise from the street. Terrible noise even for an easy-to-sleep girl like me. I didn't really mind climbing the stairs to the 6th floor but I think many people need to know this before hand. We booked 5, but after 1 day, we decided to move.

Going from all of the previous reviews we thought this was going to be a great place to stay, wow were we wrong! Firstly the lift was broken so we had to walk up 6 flights of stairs with our bags. The room was spacious, but the air conditioning didn't work, there was no top sheet on the bed, so I had to sleep with a towel! The room was so noisy, I had read reviews saying it was a little noisy, but wow this was a whole new level of noisy! I slept with earplugs in, but it made no difference, relentless traffic and dogs howling. We had booked for 3 nights but only stayed one.

My partner Chris and I had a great stay at this accommodation. The host is ever so accommodating and there to help / assist and enjoy things with you if you need. The room was clean and spacious. There is noise from the street, but nothing ear plugs cannot solve! Thank you for hosting us and when we are back in Manila we will be with you again!

Good location to see Rizal park, intramuros, and Manila bay. Very busy area, plan accordingly due to traffic. Ariel and Julia are a sweet couple. Julia was helpful and let us borrow her lonely planet book to explore the town. Be informed that this is in the middle of the city area and you will see a lot of beggers (which is inevitable anyways) but you do feel the culture and differences in classes. The food across the entrance is good and cheap. Great stay for the adventurer and one to explore the town. Internet is ok but you have the option to go to the Starbucks to surf the web. Mike, Ariel's brother, was helpful and assisted me in washing clothes at their place.

I'm a backpacker myself, travelling all around the country! From place to place, I love to discover bohemian, wild and amazing places. In Manila, I enjoy to roam around the city and the alternative nightlife as an artist and musician too. Surfing, Mountain climbing, Interior desi…
