The space

A spacious, two storey house in Amoni-Sofiko, built among pine trees, facing the sea of Saronikos bay, ideal for peaceful family holidays, just 1,5h from Athens. Its 200m2 area can host 4-7 persons. On the upper floor there are two big air-conditioned bedrooms, each with a private wardrobe and bathroom, two verandas and a backyard.
The house overlooks a small picturesque port with a fish tavern and the nearest beach is at an 8 minutes walking distance. There are also three beautiful pebble beaches nearby. The house is fully equipped and furnished. In the small village of Sofiko, at about a quarter of an hour distance by car, one can find a decent market place. We had a great time in Greece this year! We not only enjoyed our stay, but we even became friends with Stavros, the owner of the house! In the first day, we had a very warm welcome and we found the place to be even more spacious than it looked in the pictures. It was clean and fresh, and, after a quick tour, we got a hang on how things worked. To make a quick summary, we loved the back gardens and the terraces! The kitchen is very well equipped, so we cooked a lot there. There are four beaches around the house, but we usually went to the closest, which is no more than a 10 minutes walk. The location of the house was also good for us, because it was our first time in Peloponnese, and we wanted to travel a lot throughout the peninsula. Our stay at Stavros was an inspired choice, and we would love to come again sometimes!

Stavros and George were very welcoming and helpful. They greeted us upon our arrival and had provided us with a good selection of food and drinks, which were very thoughtful. The accommodation was very clean homely and well equipped. It was fairly remote and quite with no immediate amenities, so a car is essential. However, there is a local fish restaurant that cooks to order and we were made very welcome. The local beach was very quite, we usually had it all to ourselves. One word of advice, the beach is pebbles and there are sea urchins, so do be mindful. We brought shoes that we wore in the water .

Very warm and friendly welcome. Quiet neighbourhood with a lovely local beach. Great living open plan with modern design. Stunning views from the balconies. Well equipped kitchen.

The house is located in the remote and beautiful area of Amoni, featuring scattered high end villas, serene environment and breathing views. It is located just 15-20mins drive from the the touristic area of Loutra tis Oraias Elenis, 35mis from the touristic area of Korynthos and just 1:30 to 2:00 hours drive from the airport of Athens. Mr Stavros and Mr Giorgos, who are rightfully very proud of their summer house, where expecting us upon arrival and welcomed us with warmth as appropriate in greek hospitality. They gave us a tour of the house and explained the highlights of the area, as well as provided us with some essential food supplies which came really handy considering that the nearest supermarket is a mere 15mins drive - but with amazing views over sea and mountains. The house is spacious, tastefully decorated with elements of modern greek and ethic art scattered all around its various interiors and terraces. The house overlooks a secluded bay with blue - turquoise waters, which is pleasant and gives a sense of exclusivity and serenity. In particular, we've enjoyed the views from our room during the early morning hours. The kitchen area is functional and well equipped to accommodate the preparation of family meals, notwithstanding the tavern located in proximity to the house. Due to various commitments, myself and other guests had to travel to Korynthos and back several times during our stay, and one thing that will stay in my memory for a while is the breathtaking views whilst approaching the house by car. My personal view is that the beach in proximity to the house - a mere 10mins walk (megalo Amoni) - is of a beach commonly found in this part of Greece, which is of good standard, but nothing particularly impressive. Having said that, if a 5 mins drive is acceptable, you can reach the beach of Kalogerolimano, which is simply spectacular, serene, crystal clear, with an amazing seabed for snorkelling, soft rounded pebbled surf for endless relaxation and huge pine trees for essential shade - simply a hidden paradise far from the access of the average tourist, a real privilege for those that don't mind driving 5 mins.

I was expecting the house to be good, but the reality was 100% better than I'd ever imagined. The house is so spacious & light, with a wonderful breeze blowing in through the multitude of patio doors. The views are outstanding, this is a completely unspoilt area - you just cannot imagine you're 1.5 hours from Athens. I loved sitting on the balcony at night watching the little fishing boats going out (only 1 or 2 - this is all the activity you'll ever see!). Stavros was so friendly, helpful & easy going. A delight to deal with. So many thoughtful touches - the fridge was very well stocked with beer, wine, bread, cheese, butter etc etc. There are a few villas dotted around, and a wonderful taverna opposite the house (lovely views out over the bay). The 2 beaches within walking distance are stunning - utterly unspoilt & even though it was August they were very quiet. Great for swimming, but do bring jelly shoes as its pebbly & there are some urchins. The interior of the house is beautiful. Very stylishly done, and equipped with everything you could wish for. Beds were comfortable, easy parking, wifi worked well, I even had a good phone signal. We were there with our 2 children (5 & 9) & we all absolutely loved it. We were VERY reluctant to leave & I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to anyone.

The house is gorgeous. It has a living room with wide windows and a breathtaking view on the sea, a fully equipped kitchen (but there is a psarotaverna near the house serving great fresh fish!), several terraces, two spacious bedrooms. All the rooms ars furnished in an elegant way. There are 4 nice (and uncrowded) pebble beaches within few minutes by car. Ideal for a quiet and relaxing holiday. Strongly recommended!

Stavros was stayed in touch with us leading up to our visit. He sent us directions from Athens that were really easy to follow, so I didn't even need my GPS to find it! We were a bit earlier than we thought we would be, but he was already there to greet us. The house is wonderful - open main level floor plan, bright and comfortable. Beautiful view, lovely back garden which was a perfect place to drink coffee in the morning! Stavros very thoughtfully provided us with lots of supplies, including fruit, eggs, wine and snacks. It was perfect. We loved the beach being a short walk - clear, clean water, perfect temperature. Dinner at the tavern just steps away was really good with fresh fish! Wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you, Stavros!
