Stay in a 110 year old home in wine country! Soak in the claw foot tub or relax in the spare room with cable TV, desk and couch. All rooms upstairs have been newly painted and carpeted. On street parking.
We openly welcome guests from all walks of life!
There are two rooms and a bathroom on the second floor of the house. One room is the bedroom, one is a sitting room and the other is the bathroom. There is an AC unit in the bedroom during the spring, summer and early fall months.
You will have access to the bedroom, bathroom and spare room on the second floor. You will also have access to the kitchen and dining room for a light breakfast that we will provide each morning of your stay. We provide cereals, gluten free granola, yogurt, coffee, juice and fresh fruit. You are also welcome to use the yard, porch and deck, theses areas are lovely in the spring, summer and early fall.
Interaction with guests
We will probably be present but we are very busy. We usually see guests around the coffee pot and breakfast bar in the mornings.
Other things to note
We can, on occasion, be dog sitters to our son and his wife's golden retrievers Cali and Hamilton, very sweet and friendly dogs.
Also, if you are submitting a reservation request for our space, please be sure to complete your AirBnB profile with a photo, bio, information about your trip to Portland, and at least 3 verifications. Thank you!
Sorry no smoking or pets...

Married to Carrie. I am a retired, high school principal and Carrie is a dental hygienist. Avid bike riders, kayakers, hikers and dog sitters to our son and daughter in-laws two golden retrievers. Gonzaga University and Zag hoops are a passion of ours and we travel to games when we are able. With a daughter living in Germany and friends in Europe we take every opportunity to travel to visit. Meeting new people seems to make the world smaller for us, which we like. We love hosting and staying with Airbnb whenever and wherever we travel!
We try to make the experience of staying in our homes a special one....oh, and if you have an aversion to the occasional golden retriever at breakfast..well there are other listings to be found.
