The house is a wonderful fresh renewed rustic villa. There is a large veranda with a spectacular sea view. It's a great sensation to have your breakfast there and to be surrounded by the breeze and the sea smell. The garden is big, with a wide parking as well (4 cars). It's a two floors house, but we rent only the ground floor, which is made up of 2 bedrooms, a bathroom (Italian way), a kitchen, a storeroom and a hall-living room.(naturally veranda and garden are included). All of the rooms are furnished. The second floor will remain closed and not available
Poliscia, the place where the house is located, is very near Licata wich is the main centre of this area. (only 5 minutes by car). Licata is a town of about 50 thousand people and there you can find all you need, public and private services: hospital, shops, coffee bar, post office, chemist's shop ect. It's very nice to walk around the historical centre in the evening, going down to the harbour and having the famous “granita” (lemon water-ice) made by Ciccio. Other interesting cultural areas are near too or if they are not, they can be reached easily by car. Agrigento, for example, and its wonderfull Temples Valley is only 40 km away.
The beach is in a small bay straight in front of the Sicilian Channel. Here you can rent canoes, water motorbike, pedalos ect.
The green blue sea sometimes, with the sunset, gets the wine colour, as Leonardo Sciascia wrote in his famous tale entitled “Il mare color del vino”.The small and the big rocks, the turtle rock and the mushroom rock (called in this way for their odd shape) are ideal places to practise snorkelling or to jump from. The beach and the sea are suitable for everyone and especially for children.
NB: We are sorry fot our potential guests but we don't rent the house for only one day for time question.
Stay more you will not regret
