Antique 4 poster twin beds await your arrival in the Hunt room. On cold nights enjoy a roaring fire in the fire pit or cozy up to the fireplace in either LR's. We are 8 miles from the ocean and there are miles of logging roads for exploration and hiking!
**New as of 1/2017, We have remedied our sulphur smell! We've added an aeration system and no longer have that nasty smell yet we still have the wonderful silky, soft water! You will want to sit out on the deck and take in the incredible mountain views! We'll build a fire in the fire pit or in the fireplace for you, weather and desire permitting.
We enjoy conversation and are always ready for a card game, Hand and Foot is our favorite.
Our intent is to leave you surprised and delighted, please let us know if you see something missing in our fulfilling that intention! My husband and I are people persons and love meeting new people, hearing and sharing stories. Look under our other listing 'Incredible Views' for additional pictures.
We live on 8 acres with horses, 2 outdoor dogs, and a cat. Our home and stables are creek side with Nehalem River access, pastures, and a noble tree farm.
My husband and I vacationed in the area for 30 years, loved it so much we moved here a decade ago. We are a wealth of knowledge to travelers looking to explore.

We are friendly and outgoing, my husband Don is a master razor clam digger and masterful at catching Steelhead. I love to be around horses and I have 3 of my own. Our children are grown and we have a total of 7 grandchildren. My husband is retired and I am an Insurance Agent for Aflac and an entrepreneur. The space around me is important, views from our deck are unrestricted for as far as one can see. In the fall we love to hunt for mushrooms (King Boletes, Chanterelles and now Cauliflower!). Being on Survivor is on my bucket list and I'm waiting for a PBS special! We did the Polar Plunge for the first time January 2013, brrrrr! We truly enjoy meeting new people and sharing our home with others, our goal is to leave you surprised and delighted with your stay and wanting to come back again and again, hope to see you soon! Since the election I have taken down our traditional flag and will fly a diversity flag until #45 is ousted from office, so you know where we stand. ;-)
