Great location and very friendly host but a bit disappointing. The photos suggest a bright sunny apartment with matching towels on nice crisp bed linen. What we got were two folded top sheets placed on clean but distinctly grey bottom sheets. In the kitchen, there was only two of everything. It would have been nice not to have to wash the teaspoons we use for our breakfast yoghurt before we could make our coffee. And despite only having two of everything , nothing matched. It really looked like the apartment was equipped with cast offs. These days you can buy a 4-person set of crockery and cutlery for about $60 so no excuse for what we found. There is a spacious bedroom and a very small kitchen but no sitting area apart from the terrace. A recent reviewer said the apartment was only of backpackers standard. That’s probably a bit harsh but it definitely does not deserve the accolades in many of the other reviews. It is a big climb with luggage from the Square up about 80 steps to the apartment but there is an easier route. Go through the Square, up past the bus station and left through a town gate. That way you can wheel your suitcases most of the way and on.y have to negotiate less than 20 steps. To end on a positive note, the location is great, embedded in the old town, the terrace was lovely and, despite what was said in some reviews, the WiFi was consistently good.

Maja is very welcoming, we had no problem with the appartment. It is perfectly located and we had a great time here in Hvar. I recommend it without a doubt !

From my short time on the Dalmatian coast, it's become clear the people do most our their living on their porches/terraces than inside their homes. With that being said, the terrace was nice and the best feature of the rental. Through a combination of rod iron, stone, and grapevines, you can enjoy being on the terrace but not be on display to the many people passing up-and-down the stairs of this narrow old city street. Despite significant number of stone steps you must climb to reach this apartment, you do not have a view from sea. This is a compact apartment - the bathroom was bigger than other I have encountered during my time in Croatia and the kitchen was adequate (electric kettle, fridge, 2 burner stove, no oven - not that I was planning to bake) but a toaster would have been nice! Best memory of our stay here will be drinking a glass of local white wine (posip) on the terrace listening to the sounds of people passing thru the street. Our host and her daughter were pleasant and available to us. Good value given the expense of Hvar.

Nice appartment , clean, near to the center and fortress but there's quite a lot stairs to climb before reaching the apartment. Not recommended for old people.
