A central spot in close proximity to the great outdoors plus enroute to many exciting destinations - Rakaia Gorge, MT Hutt, Porters Alpine Resort, Lake Coleridge, Opuke Hot Pools, Hot Air Ballooning, Jet Boating, Craigieburn Trails & MT Hutt Bike Park.

Come and enjoy the wide-open spaces and star lit skies all within a 50-minute drive to CHCH Intl Airport.

We enjoy living here & make the most of the outdoors when we can.

The space
Close proximity to CHCH INTL Airport. We are located just off the main tourist route.

Refurbished, fully furnished & fully self contained shearers quarters. Sunny & cozy with double glazing, smart TV, Wifi, 3 lockable bedrooms, open plan living/kitchen with log burner & heat transfer kit. Bathroom/laundry combined. Carport attached.

Private and fenced but not fully fenced. So NOT ideal for young children. Plus due to the residence being a Quarters there aren't any internal doors.
We welcome guests from all backgrounds. We reside on the farm with our 3 young children and our 5 permanent staff and their families also live on farm too.

Please note this is a busy working farm so guests must stick to the accommodation section unless accompanied by us. Not suitable for pets sorry.

Where you’ll be

There are numerous walks in the area, ranging from a 7 - 20 minute drive away and to suit varying fitness levels, (hills, flats).
Two golf courses plus the pretty Rakaia Gorge and Lake Coleridge Village are just up the road! Both Mt Hutt and Porter's Heights ski fields are only an hours drive to the skifield carpark away.
Hororata Village has a café/bar which also does takeaways. A 5 minute drive away.
Other takeaways options include the Coalgate Tavern nearby and an Indian in Darfield.
30 minute drive to the new and fabulous Methven Hot Pools “Opuke” book a 2 he session online in the adult side and enjoy the swim up bar.
