Beautiful Studio in Historic building.

Hamilton's Studio is located in the town of Ryde with two minutes walk to the beach (or 200 yards) and 5 minutes walk to the high street. The great listed Georgian building was built for Lady Hamilton with the building next to it for Lord Nelson in early eighteen hundreds.

Self-catered apartment, with linen and towels included. Bring your own beach towel.

Self check-in with key from key box.

The space
The whole building was refurbished for summer 2018. Hamilton's Studio has a bespoke bed with a double bed at the bottom and a single bed at top. Lush kitchen and bathroom, which are both separate from the bedroom.

Private outdoor space with table and chairs. A sun-trap facing south.

Where you’ll be

Isle of Wight, England, United Kingdom

Ryde is a historic town, in the late 18th century the town developed as a resort for sea bathing and walking. The town’s proximity to Portsmouth was convenient for those who had naval responsibilities. After Queen Victoria adopted Osborne, a few miles along the coast, many fine buildings were built to serve the growing population.

Ryde is very accessible from the mainland, for both passengers or cyclists on either the Hovertravel or the catamaran that bring you right into town. The closest car ferry arrives to Fishbourne only 10minutes by car.

Within two minutes walk there is a bowling alley, skateboard park, marina, duck pond with peddleos, two children’s playgrounds, and small amount of family amusements.

Two minutes walk into town centre there are lots of restaurants, coffee shops and shops.

I'm originally from Sweden but I have now settled down in England with a lovely British husband. I love living close to the sea, and appreciate the clean air around it. How I travel. That is changing from year to year! I used to be a back-packer, now I love to arrive to destination with good quality mattresses and linen. My husband and I are quite spontaneous, and we love a good recommendation.
