Very nice atmosphere. Thank you!

I had a very lovely stay. The beauty of the place and the serenity of being in the countryside is made much more better by the warm, loving atmosphere that Yuu-san's family has.

Wow ! What an amazing place to stay, we wanted to stay forever! It is hard to describe what is so wonderful about this place, but the overall feel you have being there is a wonder at life and an optimism for all things! Megumi san, Yuu San and Mizuki san are fantastic warm people and we loved spending time with them, the food was absolutely amazing, we loved exploring the place, if were back in Japan we'd return in a heartbeat, all the best to all of you and future guests, enjoy!

This is a place where can give you full of inspiration. Art, music with Mother nature and very good talk. Hearty and warm food from Megumi san made me feel so healed. You don't need to go out further. There is small pond, big trees, small but cute flowers with friendly cat and goat. I promised I would visit again this summer. Thank you all in 読書の森!

I was supposed to stay for two nights but only stayed for one. I had booked the straw bale room and when I walked in I was alarmed to note that it had a strong smell of mold, which gives me allergies and asthma. Yuu-san let me sleep in the community room, but that room was also very dusty and the futon was quite thin and I just really felt so physically miserable. This is tragic because Yuu-san and Megumi-san and Mizuki-san are absolutely lovely people and I had such a good time hanging out with them and singing and eating Megumi-san's totally amazing food. I really wished I could have stayed longer. It is remote, surrounded by rice paddies and woods but not too far from a nice onsen. The grounds are filled with groovy art and it is such a genial space. It's great for young people who are into deliberately rustic travel and beautiful cultural experiences and who - most importantly- aren't prone to allergies.

I and my wife have been running a unique book cafe Dokusyo-no-mori for 21 years.
Our city Komoro is a small city in front of Asama mountains. And our place Mimakigahara is a wonderful table land which has splendid view .We have enjoyed our country life very much.
We also love foreign people and often they stay with us as our better helper or friends. We love many kinds of arts, music ,literature ,crafts and we have making some unique small houses including straw bale house .We have held many kinds of events for 20 years . If you happen to come across one of them you are sure to enjoy yourselves very much.
We also like animals and have a donkey and two goats that are very cute and lovely. In addition, near our Cafe, You can enjoy beautiful Cherry Blossoms in Spring (April/May) or colored Maple leaves in late fall (Nov) at NUNOBIKI Kannon Temple or KAIKOEN Castle in Komoro near our Café, and also original Japanese wild flowers and grass, coloring natural scenery beautifully from season to season around our field with unique Art monuments. You can touch directly authentic Japanese Culture, Art, daily Life, with native people, you never experience in big cities or on travel guide.
