Cabin is nice, if a bit old. There is plenty of open grass areas to enjoy some outdoor activities, including a lake and fire pit. It is relatively secluded/private (enough for us), but not totally; you can see the other cabin on the property, and we had a few people come onto the property to fish in the lake during our stay. The hot tub was nice while it was working, but it seemed to blow the breaker if the temperature was turned up and the jets were turned on for too long. Based on reading the guestbook, it seems like this is a common issue. The beds/comforter/pillows were comfortable. There are fewer beds than listed on the page (5 rather than 6 - and no bunk bed that they show in the pictures). There is also only one private bedroom (with one bed) in the cabin, if that is important to you. We had 8 individuals (no couples), and had to sleep a few people on the couch and recliners. The kitchen was decently stocked with equipment, nothing spectacular, but OK. I was a little disappointed to find they didn't have cooking oil and some other basics, but we were able to make do. However, there is EXTREMELY limited counter space (two ~1ft. wide sections) with which to work on, which makes meal preparation a bit of a challenge. Overall it was an OK experience. We have stayed in much larger and more modern cabins in the area for nearly the exact price in the past, but I do think this size/quality is part for the course in this area, so it's not a rip-off or anything. I would recommend it to groups of 6 or under, preferably couples, in order to sleep comfortably, and to any groups which really want to be close to the hiking trails nearby. However, if you plan to spend most of your time hanging around the cabin, you may want to look for larger options, as this one could get claustrophobic for longer than a few days.

The cabin isn't bad but the hot tub wasn't very clean and had an odor. Also, only one person was able to sign into the wifi at a time. The cabin location could be more clearly marked.

Jennifer was a pleasant and easy-going host. She spent time to send many recommendations for things to do in the area and was more than accommodating with any and all questions. I had a fantastic time in the cabin and enjoying the views over the lake. I hope to be back!
