The Valley Hut is tucked into a totally private, open, grassy valley and surrounded by bush clad hills. It’s easily accessible by car and has plenty of parking. It faces a 30 metre waterfall, glimpsed through the trees from the hut, and it can be heard tumbling down to the meandering stream flowing through the valley.
At night you can hear the sweet sounds of many NZ owls calling and on a clear night you can look up to the crystal stars of the Milky Way.
