Q: Is the apartment available for long-term lease (from 12 to 30 months)?
A: Yes, if requests fit the following criteria:
- The apartment is required in around 6 months from the initial request, to avoid overlaps with existing reservations
- Proposals are in the range of ~USD3000 plus expenses (condominium, IPTU, utilities etc.)
- Guarantor or insurance guarantee ("fiador" or "seguro fiança") is presented
Q: Does the apartment have a parking lot?
A: The flat does not have a parking lot. However parking alternatives exist nearby on Rua Visconde de Piraja or Praça Nossa Senhora da Paz. Long and short-term parking is also available at Ipanema Tower. All options are within walking distance.
Q: Do all bedrooms have air conditioning?
A: Yes, all bedrooms and the living room are equipped with air conditioning.
Q: Can we anticipate check-in or get a late check-out?
A: We do our best to allow early check-in and late check-out. This is generally granted unless other guests are checking out/in the same day of your arrival/departure.
Q: Is it possible to join the two single beds into a double in the third room?
A: Yes. If this arrangement best suits your needs, just let me know at booking or a few days before check-in as it requires some preparation work.
Q: How far is the apartment from the beach?
A: 150 meters (2-min walk).
Q: At what floor is the apartment?
A: The apartment is at ground floor.
Q: Is there any window facing the street, is it noisy?
A: Bedroom #3 faces the street. We installed a double glazed window to minimize noise.
CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT INFORMATION
Check-in is at 3pm, and check-out is at 11am. Arriving slightly earlier, or want that extra hour to sleep? Should be fine, but please check with us first.
Whilst we do a thorough professional clean between each guest stay, we kindly ask that prior to leaving, you clean and put away any dishes or kitchenware used and put any dirty towels in the service area. It helps us get through our cleaning process quicker and allows us to keep cleaning costs down for you and future guests.
To ensure we keep the floorboards squeaky clean for our guests’ enjoyment, we would appreciate if you could abide by a no-shoe policy inside our apartment.
We kindly ask guests staying longer than a week to carry out a professional cleaning during the stay. We can recommend a very good and reliable cleaning lady.
We understand that accidents happen. But we do ask that you please let us know when they do. Chances are we can fix them as effortlessly as possible which also means better chances of having your full security deposit returned too.
If you’re coming to Rio to party you’ve picked a great city to do so. Unfortunately, just not at our place. Though we’re sure it won’t come to it, serious complaints of unruly behavior will unfortunately result in you being asked to leave. Not good for you. Not good for us.
We kindly ask our guests to limit noise, especially in the outdoor space, after 10pm (to abide by the "Lei de Silencio", a local noise law).
We have a no smoking policy, although you are welcome to smoke in the external patio.
Number of guests must be indicated in the booking request. Adding more guests after the booking will be allowed only if agreement is reached with us.
Guest will be given two sets of keys at check-in. If one or more of these sets is stolen/missing/lost, we must be notified immediately. For security reasons, door locks will have to be changed, as well as 5 new sets of keys (2 for the guests, 1 for housekeeper, 2 for us). A 200 US$ fee from security deposit will apply to cover the charges.
