New Orleans, Louisiana, United States
Our neighborhood is artsy, diverse, full of life, friendly, rich & poor, authentic. We have coffee shops, a herb shop, snoball shop, bars, eateries, wine shop, and more...all round the corner. Just a few blocks to the FQ and Frenchmen Street. Our neighborhood is reviving, making the old a little bit newer again. Up & Coming. Authentic, charming, and gritty--Yes! With some hidden great little gems, like Elizabeth's for breakfast and Bacchanal for wine & live jazz. Like St. Rock Market's cuisines & cocktails and St. Claude's cluster of the hip music scene. And Crescent Park for city & river views and old buildings with graffiti art mixed in between historical shotgun and creole colorful houses. And of course the heys & hellos of local neighborly charm from front porches and/or steps. This neighborhood breathes New Orleans culture and charm. Some of the houses are still recovering from Katrina, but lots of the houses have already been renovated or in the process. Our neighborhood is the new thriving area of New Orleans. Gritty but charming!!

ER doc who's lived in New Orleans for many years. My work brings me in and out of the city. A foodie, an amazing cook, and a connoisseur of events and festivals around the city makes it easy to call this place home. My friend Debbie lives around the corner in the Marigny and will take care of my place since i'm in and out of the city for work. She's a graphic artist who is in love with New Orleans and has lived here for over 20 years. She loves dance, jazz, cats, traveling, red wines, yoga, and costuming during Mardi Gras or just because. She also loves the diversified weather we have about 8 months of the year, but hates the hot humid summers we have...don't get her started! ;) She's very friendly and goes beyond the call of duty of making our guests as happy as they can be. She has hosted a private room in her own house with over 200 positive reviews so I trust her to be a great hostess to you too.
