A lovely well-appointed and very clean home in trendy Highland, this Denver Tudor boasts lots of color and plenty of sunshine. Convenient to downtown, Lodo, stadiums, galleries, the Denver performing arts center, and many fine dining restaurants. Highland is well-suited to travelers, visiting professionals, artists, folks in housing transitions, and adventurers of all kinds. Thanks for your consideration and I wish you the best in finding your spot.

The space

My house can accommodate one person in the queen bed in the guest room.

Guest access

Guests are welcome to use the fully equipped kitchen and dine using the breakfast bar or the dining room. My bedroom and office are private.

The backyard is 420 friendly.

Interaction with guests

When guests arrive, I'm happy to offer information about Denver and Highland and beyond, including day trips to Rocky Mountain National Park, Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs, and skiing at Breckenridge, Keystone, Winter Park, Eldora, and Loveland, all within a 100 miles of Denver. Heavenly Colorado powder!

Other things to note

The Highland neighborhood in Denver is one of the trendiest places to find restaurants and hangouts. And with the new recreational marijuana laws, you will find plenty of dispensaries close at hand. Public consumption is still illegal, but you are welcome to use the back yard while enjoying your Rocky Mountain high.

My home is smoke free, pet free, fragrance free, and shoe free. There's a place for shoes at the front door, where you can also hang your jackets and coats. Because my downstairs tenants rise early to work, quiet hours are 11 PM to 6 AM. If you want to sleep in on the weekend, no problem!

You must also acknowledge
Must climb stairs - Three steps up from the sidewalk, and six steps to the porch and front door.
Potential for noise - Sometimes a firetruck or rescue vehicle can be heard on 38th Ave, especially when the weather is not nice and vehicle accidents occur.
Amenity limitations - This is not the Ritz, so I don't have a pool or a gym. Rats!

Very charming and a great deal. Cute neighborhood- I really liked the Cuban cafe just down the block. Also a good place to work during the day - sunny and quiet. About $10 to uber to Pepsi center or LoDo.

Staying at Maggie's was a treat, beautiful and welcoming home in great Highlands location. Made us feel at home and was very private and spacious! Would definitely stay again on our next trip to the Mile High City! Also, was a pleasure to meet Matt who was friendly and helpful!

Maggie's co-host Matt greeted us (and then promptly returned when I locked myself out- thank you again!) and was an extremely helpful communicator. The hiking recommendations he gave us made for a gorgeous day trip :) The house is located in a quiet, yet very convenient area for central Denver exploring and we took cheap lifts ($6.50) to get around. The bed is insanely comfortable and the most difficult part of the day was simply getting out of bed. Our week long honeymoon was a dream come true partly because of Maggie's romantic and cozy home which we had all to ourselves and partly because Denver is such an amazing city to visit!

The host never allowed us to check in. Instead she left for the mountains without reception and most importantly without providing instructions for the lockbox. I'm sure the house is great, but have a backup plan.

Response from Maggie:
Four days prior to Michael’s booking on September 30 I hired Matt and Vicki to be my Airbnb co-hosts. When Matt cited me as the cause of Michael’s cancelation, I was stunned. I believed had a “backup plan” in place—Matt and Vicki. I have text messages confirming I hired them and they accepted on September 26. Although they took good care of subsequent guests, Matt and Vicki are no longer co-hosts to my listing. Being thrown under the bus was an unpleasant experience at best, causing distress not only to me but to Michael and his companion as well. Michael I do apologize for the error. I wish you the best in your future travels.

Very nice room that is a bit far away from everything. Maggie is wonderful and I had a great time staying with her.

My home is near 38th Ave. and Federal Blvd., in Denver Highlands. I have a 79 rating on walk score, and am one and a half blocks from a bus stop to downtown Denver.

My stay at Maggie's was great. Her home was very warm and inviting. She made sure that I had enough space in the bathroom and kitchen for my things. The neighborhood is very convenient to downtown with Uber/Lyft rides around $10. Plenty of shops and restaurants nearby as well. I would definitely recommend her place!

Maggie was a great host. She was very accommodating during my stay. I didn't realize we would be sharing a bathroom, but it ended up not really being an issue because our schedules didn't overlap too much. Great place for a longer stay, especially if you have a car.

I am an active member of one of the largest meetup groups in the nation: the Boulder/Denver Grey Wolves. I hike in summer and ski in winter and the Colorado climate is great for both. Growing up in the cold damp winters of Wisconsin, I have never regretted moving west. A perfect day is 10 inches of new in the back bowls of Vail.
