The cottage is a truely lovely place, equipped and with enough space even for a three week holiday like ours. Located so one can stay on the veranda and relax with a great view or to start to discover beaches, nature or villages nearby. One feels quickly at home, gets to know the neighbours when going fo a run in the morning towards Cape Point or for a swim in the evening just down the road to the local beach. Watch out, the water can be surprisingly cold, but that seems not stop anyone. Linda is a fantastic host, always there when one needs help, or just for advice for the next yummy restaurant or neighbourhood market (don't miss the one in Muizenberg and Woodstock!). We had a great time and can highly recommend this beautiful place.
This Simon's Town cottage was a fantastic place to stay for a few days. Just down the road from Boulders Beach where we saw dozens of penguins early in the morning and just a 5 minute drive from nice restaurants/cafes in Simon's Town. Linda was also a fantastic host, making us feel very welcome and providing great advice about local things to see and do.
Linda was amazing. Very welcoming and made sure our stay was enjoyable. We felt at home, and enjoyed the place so much. It's even nicer than in the pictures, with a wonderful view of the bay and great location. Perfect balance between peace, quiet, and access to lots of great restaurants and natural sights. We would definitely stay here again, thanks Linda!
We had the most wonderful time at Linda's cottage! She is a delightful person who we could have chatted with for hours. She is full of great tips and lovely conversation. The cottage is so comfy and clean and it is perfect for capturing sea breeze, watching Cape Sugarbirds forage from the porch, catch the sunrise from the cozy bed, cook a meal in the kitchen, walk to a wonderful swimming beach or a bit further to swim with and meet some African Penguins. There are some cute places to eat in town, but remember to stop for groceries and beer/wine before you get to Simon's Town. We didn't have time to do it, but Linda suggested a trip via the train over to Kalk Bay, which would have been really fun. We did go to the Table Mountain National Park and drove to Cape Point and it was just beautiful. There are just so many wonderful places to explore. Thank you, Linda!
Linda was absolutely lovely, welcoming and extremely hospitable. We had a lovely few days in the cottage which overlooks the sea in a lovely quiet road near Simon's Town. The flat itself is clean, bright and airy and had everything we needed including a comfy bed and lots of towels. It is worth having a car, we drove out for dinner in the evenings and to nearby towns and beaches in the day. The penguins are very close and there is a nice little cove for swimming just a few minutes walk from the flat.
