18th century Cotswold cottage. Renovated to a high standard and beautifully decorated throughout, combining traditional and contemporary design.

The space

18th century Cotswold cottage. Renovated to a high standard and beautifully decorated throughout, combining traditional and contemporary design. Comfortable beds, beautiful sofas and the perfect country kitchen complete with aga. Ideal for families (complete with trampoline in the garden), walkers and/or group of friends.

Kitchen: AGA, electric hob and oven, dishwasher, island, fridge with ice and water filter and drinks fridge.

Dining room: adjacent to kitchen with large dining table comfortably seating eight.

1 utility room: with Miele washing machine and toilet (and potty for little ones!) and sink on ground floor.

Two sitting rooms: first the family room with games/books; the second with a woodburner perfect for relaxing in the evening.

3 bedrooms: 2 double (master with super king Designers Guild bed) and 1 twin.

2 bathrooms upstairs: one en suite with bath and a wet room for the shower; the second is a family-style bathroom with bath with a shower over the bath. Note that the water pressure is not great in the family bathroom and therefore we recommend using high pressure shower in en suite.

Cot available on request.

Portable cinema screen and projector suitable for laptops to play movies. Guests to bring own laptop and DVDs (although there are a few kids' films at the cottage).

Large mature enclosed private garden with 10ft TP genius SurroundSafe trampoline. Winding shallow stream through garden with 3 small ponds - perfect for paddling in stream but children must be supervised at all times.

Car port with off road parking for up to three cars.

The cottage is situated on the edge of a small village and within minutes you can be in unspoilt meadows. In a 3 minute walk (using a secret passage!) there is a small playground and mini football (website hidden) can be sourced from the local town, Nailsworth, often described as the 'real Cotswolds', a bustling victorian mill town. In Nailsworth is the award winning Hobbs bakery, Williams (high quality delicatessen and fishmonger), butchers, fruit and vegetable shop, super-markets, fine wine merchant, pharmacies, lovely interior shops, retro sweetshop.

Things to do:

Our favourite: Take a walk from the house. You’ll find lots of public footpaths – follow them and see where you end up.
Paint a pot in Nailsworth
Picturesque Painswick, Michinhampton and Tetbury
Westonbirt Arboretum (20 minutes)
Historic Roman towns of Bath and Cirencester (we strongly recommend the rooftop spa in Bath) as well as the Regency spa town of Cheltenham.
Cotswold Water Park
Slimbridge wetland reserve (40 minutes) Cattle country children's adventure park (20 minutes)

The guests will have access to the entire house. Please note that this is our family home and we ask that it is treated as such.

We won't be there when the guests are but are happy and available to discuss any issues guests may have in the run up to, or during, their stay.

If you are interested in staying please message me before trying to book.

Additional cleaning services can be arranged if, eg you would like linen changed during your stay.

We LOVED this house! It was the coziest place we could have imagined for a week's break coming from London. I usually don't like to spend a lot of time indoors when traveling but with this place, I just wanted to stay in! My 3-year-old loved the kids bedroom and all the toys downstairs--and it was great to have one living space as his playroom and another (with the fireplace) for us adults to relax in. The open kitchen was a pleasure to cook in. The main bedroom was lovely as was the attached bathroom with heated floors. And Nailsworth was as quaint as could be with a good selection of restaurants, cafes, shops. We appreciated all the tips on walking trails, too.

Lovely stylish house in the Cotswolds. Generously sized bedrooms and two living rooms to relax in. We enjoyed spending the evenings in with friends and listening to music over the Sonos system.

This is a great place to stay. The house is beautiful and clean, and the surrounding area is stunning. Henrietta is easily contactable, friendly and helpful. Make sure you visit the arboretum.

A charming cottage, with plenty of space and great features and design. It's in a beautiful location with lovely Cotswold's towns such as Nailsworth and Tetbury just a short drive away. Arrival and check-in was easy thanks to Henrietta's great instructions and she provided lots of useful local info too. Would definitely stay again if coming back to the Cotswolds.
