This is a fantastic place to stay. The cabin is great, the kitchen is set up with a cook in mind, & the fridge is stocked with everything you’ll need for breakfast. A real plus is the washer/dryer unit in the cabin. The location is a perfect base for exploring Anchorage, Talkeetna, Hatcher Pass, and the Knik Recreation Area. We would certainly stay with Jen & Chris again.

Fantastic cabin with all the necessities. Jen and her friend made sure we have eggs/potatoes for us to cook breakfast. Our daughter enjoyed meeting their horses and mule :)

I was made to feel welcome from the very start with a timely response from Jen to my request to book a last minute reservation as well as flexibility with my arrival and departure times. When I had a question about something in the cabin, she called me back right away. The cabin is set in a beautiful place and offered total privacy. There was good walking to the river, good views of the nearby mountains, and great star gazing at night. I really enjoyed cooking in the full kitchen and slept great in the comfortable bed. Jen provided a good variety of breakfast foods to choose from. I will plan on returning here for another personal retreat. It was perfect in every way.

Their passion for this state and its rugged beauty continue to take them on new journeys. In a vast wilderness that is one-fifth the size of the entire United States they continue to find many opportunities to work on their bucket list.
