Interaction with guests

We try to adapt to our guests activities. Some would come for more time than others, for job or studies, and that could mean less interaction with them, but keep trying to make them feel comfortable, and if it is possible and it doesn´t interrupt their activities, we try to share time with them. However some others would come here for pleasure, and that could mean more interaction with them, because of the flexible schedules that they could have. But in the end, we seek the satisfaction and comfort as well as privacy and respect for each of our guests.

From the first communication I knew we had made the right decision to stay with Minerva. She is very friendly and welcomed us into her family with her supportive husband Hector and archeologist son, Hector. Villa Patricia was perfect for us for six nights to explore the relaxed and character suburb of Coyoacan. Our hosts gave us suggestions of where to eat and visit and Hector walked to the Plaza with us showing his favourite places. The Villa is in a great location.. 5 minutes to the Mercado, popular coffee roaster, bakery and community life in the two Plazas. The Museo Frida Kahlo can be seen from the gate. Hector took us to Teotihuacan and gave us a very comprehensive tour. Don't miss it. We were in Mexico City during the 7.1 earthquake on Tuesday and we could not have wished for a kinder, generous family who opened their house and hearts to us. Thank you very much Minerva, Hector 1 and Hector 2. We shared a special time together and had some good laughs too. Adios, Helena y David

Minerva and her family were absolutely amazing! Beautiful people, friendly beyond words. We really enjoyed our stay here. The room is beautiful, spacious, and has everything you could need for the stay. The house is right across the street from the Frida Kahlo museum, a few blocks away from the Leon Trotsky museum, and a short walk from a wonderful market and many great restaurants! Thank you so much for an amazing time!

Minerva and Hector are incredibly gracious hosts! They clearly enjoy having guests from all over the world in their five Villas. This is the second time I have stayed with them, and it is as if they are my family in Mexico City now. Their Spanish colonial home in the heart of Coyoacán is spacious, well-equipped, and ideal for short-term or longer-term boarders. The location is second to none, close to the Frida Kahlo house and the central gardens in Coyoacán. The rooms are comforatble, with great bathrooms, and plenty of space for storage. The rooftop patio is also a great place to spend a lazy morning reading, having a refreshment, and talking with fellow guests. Villa Carmen is a great place for a writing retreat or research visit, since it comes with a larger desk and space for bookshelves. The environment and amenities are there to make you feel welcome and at home in a sometimes chaotic, but no less lovely, city. It's a great place to recharge and to call your home base while taking in Mexico City.

Minerva, her husband Hector and their son (also) Hector, are the loveliest and most welcoming family. I cannot recommend them enough!! Their beautiful home is in a wonderful location, across the road from the Frida Kahlo Museum and a 5 minute walk from the Leon Trotsky Museum (which are actually both houses set in beautiful gardens). The street on which they live is a few minutes walk from the local market, a thriving, vibrant meeting place. Walk a few minutes more and there are parks, a great coffee shop, cafes and more. Everything you need is nearby. A 30 minute walk In the other direction gets you to the railway station, and from there you can travel into Mexico City Centro (about 20 mins) for less than AU$1. My spacious roof top room had its own bathroom and fridge, plus TV; and I had access to the guest kitchen if I wanted to cook, but seriously why? So many cheap eats nearby and it is a holiday. And then there's Hector (Jnr) - an archaeologist who has a wonderful way with words. Not only will he pick you up/drop you off at the airport, but he also is available for a day tour of Teotihuacan. This incredible archaeological site is a must see, and Hector's insight into its history is wonderful. Teotihuacan also has the only two pyramids on the planet that you can still climb. Thank you Minerva, Hector and Hector for welcoming me into your wonderful home. I am so happy to have chosen you as my hosts.

We are a small family from Coyoacan. Very friendly and kind. My Husband Hector, is a Civil Engineer, and I´m Architect. My son Héctor is Archaelogist and enjoys taking our guests to archaeological tours, mainly to the great pyramids of Teotihuacan.
We love to receive guests in our house, meet new people, and make new friends from around the world.
We enjoy talking about and many different topics with our guests, but my husband and my son, enjoys a lot to share the history of our country.
We love to learn about our guests cultures, holidays, life and always keeping an enviroment of harmony, peace and joy in the house. Every guest is different and a different experience, and our goal is to try to convert their stay with us into a experience they can remember with happiness.
We know we are not the best, but with every guest, we learn new things and try to be better each time.
Sometimes depending of our guests, schedules and plans, we try to integrate with them, maybe a dinner, or going out somewhere for shopping, museums, events, or anything.
