The Boomer is a unique, off-grid tiny home built by 'Build Tiny' in Katikati - it's currently available to rent on a nightly basis to those interested in trying out tiny-living. It’s just 17m2 and built onto a tandem trailer, making it fully portable.

Its parked on a lifestyle section close to Katikati township. People from all backgrounds are welcome in this home.

The space
Compact and creative tiny home living at its best, this home is full of space saving features and creative layout. It's wonderful as inspiration to those looking to build their own tiny home, or those looking for unique places to stay.

Guest access
Keys are kept in a lockbox - Check-in at your leisure. Further access instructions will be sent after the booking has been confirmed.

Other things to note
Composting toilet - this is an eco-friendly tiny house, and we use a simple composting toilet. It's very easy to use - just like a regular toilet, but Instead of flushing, simply cover with a handful of wood chips from the bucket next to the toilet. Please put only toilet paper and organic matter in the toilet. Plastics and sanitary products etc need to be disposed of in the rubbish.

Insects - The tiny house is located in a semi rural setting alongside native plantings - insects are part-and-parcel of being located in such a beautiful and scenic spot. If you are squeemish or easily irritated by insects then this is not the spot for you. Common sense needs to prevail, insects are attracted to light, so if windows are left open in the early evening with the lights on, then insects will come into the house. The house is an airtight structure, so once the windows and doors are closed, there is no way for insects to come inside. Bug spray is provided under the sink for those wish to use it.
