The stay was great! The staff its super lovely and welcoming, it was very clean and the decoration it's superb! The terrace and the pool are also great ! It's definitely and hide gem, We really really liked it. From the other side, we had a very bad experience in the neighborhood, the people were very bad, pushy and yelling at us when we were to give them money.. I travel a lot in the North Africa and Middle East but honestly I never saw something like this. I suggest to book the transfer from the airport or train station with the riad, it cheap and it will avoid u useless bad experiences.

La Rose de l'Orient was a perfect place to stay. It was close to Jamaa el Fna (15 minutes walking) and a short drive from other locations in Marrakech. Rashid and Ayud were fantastic and really helped us feel at ease in this beautiful city. Thanks again for the fantastic stay!

We stayed here for 8 lovely nights, 15-24 April. The Riad was beautiful and conveniently located in the very north east corner of the old Medina. This meant there was about a 15-minute walk into the main square at Jemaa el-Fna. It was quite walkable and Incredibly enjoyable. While a map won't really do you that much good, in the Medina (somewhat, yes), what you really need is a good memory and a sense of adventure and plenty of time to get to where you need to go. If you want to get to the main Square plan on leaving an hour before you really need to get there because there will be fascinating stops at various souks along the way, should you find yourself on a different route or a different street. A big and important TIP: Go with the flow. Do not Buck the trend of the native people. When in Rome do as the Romans do. By this I mean the people in this area are not as wealthy or as well off as you and I might be. So they are very aggressive to earn a dollar. Well all the travel books will advise you to definitely get change it is often difficult to do. Bring a lot of Euros in fact get yourself $35 in single Euros or 35 single dollar bills. While they do not prefer dollars to Euros or Dirham, They will certainly take it and they can always exchange it. Allow the children and the people to take you into the market every day it's fun to talk with them and get to know who they are and what they're all about and all you have to do is give them a dollar or two or the local equivalent. People here are very kind, very pleasant and very helpful so help make their day just as they want to help make yours. You will pay cash for most things here so if you are staying for about a week I would highly recommend you make a truck to the ATM every time you can because you'll need about $1,000 in cash. At most of the nicer restaurants and formal shops and stores you'll be able to use your credit card predominately Visa. The rest of the time and while doing your bargaining in the souks you're going to want to have cash in the local currency. If you are young at heart meaning 60 and under definitely go to Theatro Marrakech. It's about a $6 or $7 taxi ride, on Thursday night it's ladies night in the restaurant and casino and the drinks are free until 9 p.m. for ladies, they have a fabulous band, and that the adjacent nightclub the show is nothing less than spectacular. The party gets started at 11 p.m. in the nightclub. if you can only do two trips while you were there then you absolutely positively have to go to Ourzazate and Essaouira - the architecture...

It's a nice hotel but location is barely closed to the square, took us quite some time to walk back the hotel during night.

This place is a hidden gem. We were a group of 10 staying for one night. The place is huge...plenty of room with sleeping space to spare. The courtyard, pool and rooftop terrace were all perfect spots to relax and socialize. The manager Youssef was very attentive and tended to our every need. We purchased the dinner option which was prepared by Youssef and was absolutely delicious. No complaints about this place at all.
