A bright and cozy flat with an amazing view over the city. Situated in the lively Kallio district, the flat (40m2) has a living room, bedroom, bathroom and a small kitchen. Ideal for one or two people.
On the top floor (7th) of a 1930’s functionalist style building the apartment’s windows give a view over the entire city center and the sea. Sights from the Uspenski Cathedral to Suomenlinna Sea Fortress are easily spotted just by looking out the window (although they might be worth an actual visit as well). The 8th floor roof top terrace is great for coffee breaks and enjoying the sun! The building naturally has an elevator.
The apartment has a 140 cm wide twin bed. The kitchen is equipped with an oven, a dishwasher, microwave, french press, toaster etc. Coffee and tea as well as clean bed linens and towels are provided for guests. The bathroom sports a washing machine which guests are welcome to use.
The apartment also has WiFi.

Hi! I’m a 35-year-old historian from Helsinki. I’ve studied history here and for a time in Vermont (US). I enjoy hiking, reading and good food. Helsinki is a great city to live in: it’s lively with lots of culture but still very compact. Most places are within walking or biking distance. Still, I sometimes long to visit some major cities like New York and Istanbul. In Finland my travels usually take me to National parks and nature reserves.
I'm often away from my flat, especially in the summer, and I'm happy to rent it to those planning to stay in Helsinki. If you want a quiet place with great views at the heart of the city this might be your place! In 2017 the apartment is free especially in July and August, so reservations are especially welcome then.
